Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Cheviot

The last time I was there.I got a family meal..Also shrimp on the side..I asked them to cook my food fresh and not give me old food...Well..I also told them I worked for LJS for 7 years..I was a crew manager before also..SO I KNOW IF MY FOOD IS OLD..So at least give me some fresh food an old Alumni ( lol) They didnt care..I sent my husband..He gets home with the food ..They still put old hard shrimp in my order..Also I had a family side of Cole slaw and it was spoiled..We called back ..Whoever that manager was she said she would send me coupons in the mail for a replacement family meal..But she just wanted to get me off the phone..We never recieved anything. When somebody asks for their food to be cooked fresh what's the problem with cooking it Fresh like I asked ..We worked at Long John Silvers and we weren't allowed to give people old and spoiled coleslaw and lie to customers and they never recieve a refund or fresh correct cooked meal with coleslaw being so spoiled its slimey and stinks with the Cole slaw dressing sticky and stretching looking all light grey....I told her I would bring it back but she said she will send us a coupon for the free family meal ..Took my name address and everything like she was going too..We waited a whole 6 months for it ..WE GOT NOTHING ..Then when we called this other manager is going act like she doesnt have any record of it...Yall better get it together and do better..I know kids may work there sometimes but you need to stress the importance of giving the Customers what they ask for and check that coleslaw and date and discard it when its supposed to be discarded even times out food or you can make someone seriously sick.. or even kill them..I'm right down the street on McHenry and have to go all the way out to Blue Ash on 2 Buses to get some decent Long John Silvers that I dont have to worry about getting sick from it..or old hard as a brick shrimp.. Where they use fresh oil used instead of heavy brown grease fried fish and chicken planks..We had to filter oil every night and if we had a real busy day sometimes we had to filter out...I'm disappointed in them really I am...GET IT TOGETHER BEFORE YOU KILL SOMEBODY!! AND IF I SAY I WANT FRESH COOKED FOOD THATS WHAT I WANT!! IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO COOK ..I KNOW IT DOESN'T..DONT GIVE NASTY FOOD..PUT IT IN YOUR WASTE AND DOCUMENT IT NOT GIVE IT TO ME!! COULDNT EVEN BE NICE TO FELLOW LONG JOHN SILVERS ALUMNI...THATS...

I have gone here for the last ten years without problem, Im 54 years old , I have lived where I live now for all but seven of those years, I have a good relationship with all of the surrounding food chains. I challenge ljs to run my background check ,they have my name and address, I have never stolen anything. run it. Here is my story , I ordered take home from inside the store eight fish, got my ordered and made my way home , on the ride home I ate one fish, me and the person I have lived with for fifty four years sat at the kitchen table and started to eat, I ate another two fish and looked at that point at the one fish left in the box , I asked her , how many fish did you eat she said two fish , I did the math , see at this point all the other times of going to ljs im stuffed and she is to. and there is always one left over we cant eat , but this time I wasn't full , I did the math and it came to five ate and one still in the box , It was very clear in my mind that I didn't get eight fish, For one , I don't even like to be in the spot where I have to call and say I didn't get all of my order. And then to be treated like this. so I called and they said they would have to check th3e video , they said they could send me a coupon for the two fish if they saw it, well they never called me back. after two weeks not getting the coupon I called them , I said where is my coupon , and with what she said... this is the reason im here writing this right now. She said if I came to her store SHE WOULD CALL THE COPS AND HAVE ME ARRESTED FOR THEFT. Wow I couldn't believe it. I thought real hard on this and wondered why she didn't say , if you come into the store I the manager of ljs will show the eight fish in a box and us handing them to you. All this over two fish that cost how much? what three dollars? COMPLETELY UNBELIEVEABLE . COMPLETELY UNBELIEVEABLE . I cant say bad about the food , cant say anything bad about the service, in my mind before this took place, ljs is the tops at selling good tasting fish in my mind. The next ten years however Im gonna find one of the little guy stores , the smaller chain that sells fish and give them my service. And if you get done this way. Leave a review. Let it be...

We got two 3 chicken ,2 fish platters,they were awful. When did LJS change the chicken? It used to be rectangle pieces in a golden batter,similar to fish. Now it's tiny twisted up hard chewy battered pieces with tough chicken.Three of these new dont equal to 1 of the old chicken. I'd say they had 1/4" by 1/2 inch of actual chicken. The rest was asterrible chewy dried out burnt peppery breading.

Fish was smaller,tough dry ,overcooked & a little salty. Hushpuppies were hard half way through Waffle fries weren't hot ,& were very tough and chewy,& hard.. not hot & crispy.

It isn't worth the reg price or even $11.00 coupon.Condidering 4 years ago the reg price was less than $10 ,got more food.

Another gripe, please make coupons limit 4 per person For an actual family.

And please offer an all fish platter 4 or 5 pcs with 2 sides. I can do without the new not improved chicken. And bring back straight fries,they were better. The best thing today was the corn and beans,sadly.

Also the people working there are rude,they walk away from you while you are ordering. Then she had to ask what we wanted again. Then 1 min later it was "ready" ..more like it was sitting there .
