Blue Door Farm Stand Too — Restaurant in Chicago

Sorry to say this was a horrible dining experience. There was a table next to us with 3 kids and their parents were letting them runaround aimlessly, each with an iPhone playing a show on full volume. They were disturbing every single table in the room, and many people kept looking at the table of parents who were not intervening at all. The wait staff ignored everything, and overall were not attentive to our table despite the noise. One of our dishes was never put in, and we didn’t receive it (an appetizer) until the later half of our meal, to which there was no apology or comp. I can’t express enough gratitude to the wonderful lady at Blue Door’s front desk. In a moment of despair, her kindness and a warm meal saved me. The food quality in terms of ingredients is, of course, superb. However, I got a coffee with a soup and sandwich combo for nearly $20 and it was literally a children’s size meal. I don’t know how the rest of the portions work but I was still hungry after my meal. I should have taken a picture of it but you would’ve needed a magnifying glass to recognize my lunch.
