Broadway Cafe isn’t just a place to grab a pastry—it’s an adventure waiting to unfold. My journey began with a warm welcome from Samar, the spirited guide to this treasure trove of baked delights. As I scanned the display of tempting creations, Samar pointed out what would soon become the pinnacle of my dessert escapades: a towering masterpiece that redefined what a cannoli could be.
This wasn’t your average pastry. The top layer, a crisp cannoli shell filled with luscious custard, vanilla, and white chocolate cream, stood like the peak of a culinary mountain daring me to conquer it. Beneath it, a base so soft and rich it could have been mistaken for a cloud spun from sugar. Each bite was a thrilling expedition, as flavors burst like fireworks, keeping my taste buds on their toes.
But let me tell you, it wasn’t just the dessert that made the experience so unforgettable. The cafe exuded an old-world charm blended seamlessly with a modern flair. The whole place felt like a secret portal, whisking me away from the bustling streets of Chicago into a realm where pastries are not just food—they’re art.
Samar, with the enthusiasm of a pastry connoisseur and the wit of a stand-up comedian, ensured that every moment was as entertaining as it was delicious. The energy in the air was contagious, making it impossible not to laugh, savor, and let the adventure take its course.
If you’re ever in Chicago, skip the tourist traps. Broadway Cafe is where the real thrill lies—where a simple pastry becomes a tale of discovery, indulgence, and joy. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and your soul will come...

Everything was fine till I asked for an extra cup with milk to cool hot chocolate down before I handed it to my young daughter. He said he could only give me some creamers he had stored in his fridge. Even after I offered to pay for it. I went to open creamer and poured it out into cup a blob came out looked like mold. He just looked st me like it was my fault.
Then as he made my sisters Capaccino he used a cup with frothed milk already in it caught him scrapping the sides and removing foam to add new milk mind you I don't know how long that milk was already sitting in that cup to begin with. I asked him what he was doing and gave me an attitude and said this is how we do it. I said you reuse milk instead of rinsing before each use. He was really rude. After we got our drinks.
The guy had the nerve to talk crap about me while I had my back to him, to someone in which my daughter saw him pointing and looking at me in a rude manner. I asked him for owners information and he said he couldn't give it to me.

Read moreWent here on Monday morning to get a breakfast sandwich. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and my partner ordered the same but on a croissant. The sandwiches were delicious and quick. The service was quick, but it was an order at the counter and pick it up when it was ready kind of place. The rest of the time the staff was in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant itself had like 4 small tables for only 2 people to sit at. So really not a place for a large crowd or a big family to eat in. My one piece of feedback would be to just change the price of the sandwiches to 7.95 since it costs a dollar extra for a bagel or croissant anyway. Didn't try any pastries or cake this time, but they did look delicious and if I find myself in Chicago again I would definitely go...
