L & L Pizzeria — Restaurant in Chicago

We ordered a large sausage pizza and fries. The pizza was excellent and what you'd expect at a small business in Chicago that cares about the craft. I especially liked the ratios used for meat, cheese, and dough: That being said it was fair and well worth the price. The oregano sprinkle was also a delightful touch. I wasn't too impressed with the sauce as I found a bit too sweet but overall the pizza was very balanced in regards to quality, quantity, price and taste.

The fries were subpar but serviceable. I was disappointed they weren't salted or fried to a higher level of crispiness. Packets of salt were included in the bag at least.But you don't really go to a pizzaria for just fries so all is good.

The restaurant set up is disappointing but understandable. From what I can tell this pizzaria is fairly new to the area. They require a bit of TLC to brighten up the place from a business perspective. However, when the food is good and the kitchen is clean then it doesn't really matter what the restaurant looks like.

It will be interesting to see how they build up this pizzaria. I've seen too many pizzaria come and go in this particular location. Here's hoping they're here to stay for generations to come.

Walked into the sound of a dying smoke alarm. There weren't any slices out for display to see what my options were. I was offered three different options, cheese, pepperoni or sausage. I decided to keep it simple and go with a regular slice of cheese pizza. While I waited I noticed a sign for free coffee. So I asked. It was instant and that's okay! I just wanted something warm. I was charged $4 for this slice. When I was called up to grab my slice it was already sprinkled with oregano...I wasn't asked or even offered any option of garlic powder, parmesan or said oregano...I proceed to eat my slice to only be surprised that it tasted like a frozen slice warmed up as if it were bought in bulk from Costco.

Needless to say I felt swindled with the price and quality of this pizza and with prices like that one would think they could afford to replace the batteries in the smoke alarm so customers can sit inside in peace.

Recently visited this establishment for a bite eat during my lunch break just to tryout the food. The food is on a mediocre level as if it's made from frozen, I ordered the pizza puff an 🍟 the pzpf wasn't cooked thoroughly. The 🍟 fries is the only thing good at this place because they are made from fresh cut potatoes. Overall not a recommended place for a bite too eat an especially the small potions with bigger prices🤔 just utterly ridiculous, so its a no for me....!!!! Update 03052024 after trying a few other item's on the menu an as it stand from my previous review it remains the same. Noticed that they don't make anything fresh from this place everything is processed frozen then drop into some hot grease. The pizza is also from frozen an if anyone noticed you'll never see them make any pizza dough in the back....🤔🤔🤔🤔 this place is a complete FRAUD...!!! The reason for this updated review is because something have too be said about these establishment's taking advantage of us...
