Both pizzas were made hot and fresh, however the middle of both pizzas were pretty soaked, so the toppings would fall off as you pull it apart. The individual ingredients were great, but I may not get the carne again, as the toppings overpower the pizza itself. Total for 3 14in pizzas, 1 salad, 1 coke came to be $106, which was pretty high in my opinion. Walked inside with some family at 5pm on a Sunday, and the inside was very empty and clean. The waiter was extremely helpful and asked if it was our first time. We ordered the Classico pepperoni and due carne which came about 20 min after. Classic pepperoni (5/5): Best pizza on the menu. The pepperoni exploded with flavor and was a little spicy. The sauce tasted fresh and acidic, since it was crushed tomatoes. Duo carne (3/5): Italian sausage had a mild flavor, but was pretty dry and over cooked. The spicy soppressata (Italian salami) had some kick to it. The Cesar salad was good, a pretty good portion. The dressing was not a creamy Cesar, but more of a clear kind, almost resembling Italian/Greek dressing.

Just visited today with my cousin. I tried their pizza when i ordered UberEats so wanted to visit myself this place. The host was very friendly, he let us sit inside since i had scooter with me and that was the best spot since we were able to enjoy the rain for a bit. The server was amazing, poor guy was bringing us hot water every 10 minutes since the tea cups were so tiny and we are from Ukraine not used to the size like this 😀. We got 2 pizzas, they were incredibly delicious. Although desserts we didn’t like much. My cousin took tiramisu and on the top instead of real tiramisu cream it is whipped cream, and I got Nutella pie and for some reason I thought it would be like a pie or crepes, but it was like pizza just Nutella on it. Well, we were there to try our pizza not desserts:) So overall I would highly recommend to try pizza here and the best seat you can get is by the window or outside. It was unforgettable evening. Thank you

Absolutely loved this place. The environment, the crust, the price is fair for the quality that you get here! We started off with the carpaccio, it was fresh and well presented, also nothing can go wrong with a cold peroni! Now, let's talk about what we are here for: the pizzas. This is the crust that I am always looking for, Neapolitan one! Not easy to find in Chicago, but glad I found this little cozy spot! We got the cala-tella and chilli burrata pizzas and oh my god. it was beautiful. This is how pizza should be, not huge pizzas full of toppings and cheese, also a little burned and crispy around: nailed! Highly recommended. I will definitely be back to try some other pizzas, the burrata antipasto and of course desserts.

Base on the reviews we decided to try this restaurant. We called to see if they deliver they stated yes with Caviar, so we downloaded the App and place an order. It took Over an hour and 20 minutes for delivery to arrive , just to get a COLD pizza, burned crust, extremely thin and very soggy middle. When I called the restaurant a female employee stated Caviar delivers on their bikes so that’s the reason why pizza was cold! Why wouldn’t you inform the customer that when I first called asking if you deliver?! A wood fire pizza delivered on a bike for over an hour in 5 degree weather La Crosta?? The employee adviced me to contact Caviar and provided a phone # to Caviar just to find out she gave me the restaurants # I was calling! I called back again and she provided a drivers # that he was not our driver. Called back for the 3rd time the owner Dino answered stating that he has been receiving complains about delivering cold food and he will have a talk with Caviar on Monday! You been having complaints in regards to this issue and you haven’t resolved this issue yet but keep delivering cold food and not aware the customers pizza is delivered in bikes?! I said this experience needs a review, Dino’s respond was you want a waste your time writing a review? I said well, i already waisted my time talking to your employee for 10 min, another 7 min with Caviar and I waisted my time talking to you for over 6 minutes which you don’t show no concerns on your service at all but you care about my review? Dino then offered us a $50 dine in credit, so I don’t write a review?! I immediately rejected, We do NOT need free dinners, all we wanted was a hot, tasty pizza that he failed to service. This call was not in order to get free dinners or credits... this call was base on a food you served and not even once said I apologize, I will make you a pizza now and have it delivered by me or an employee, that’s a customer service and a owner who cares for his customers! We would have appreciated that... knowing that he cares for customers since he hasn’t resolve delivery issues that has been occurring. Definitely skip this restaurant you will do yourself a favor, there are other pizza places that will care what they serve and appreciate your business and provide a top notch service! I don’t understand why this place has this rating?!!.... wonder if Dino offers them free dine in credit like he did to us for...

Not sure if the food is any good, was never delivered. I can tell you that their customer service is poor. We are new to Chicago and thought we’d try them out (Uber Eats). Delivery came, and I knew when I saw him walking into the building, something was wrong. I had ordered 3 pizzas and the young man came with 1 box. I told him, there should be 2 more boxes. He said, the kitchen only gave me this. I looked at the ticket order, my name, the 3 pizzas I had ordered and had been charged for are right there listed in the ticket order. Call the restaurant, speak to a “Joseph “, he first tells me that they do not have an order for me, I then give him the ticket number, he says that there still has been no orders. I explain that my account has been charged from their restaurant and I have proof with their receipt that they did get my order on line. After off and on of 10 minutes. He tells me that he found the order and that it would take them 2 hours to make the pizzas. I tell him, 1 pie was delivered but I don’t know which one it was, can you tell me what it is? He says no, you need to open the box up and tell us if it’s what you ordered. I said, I don’t want to open it, he said again open it, I did and it was not my order, it was a mushroom pizza. He then tells me to have the Uber delivery person, return the pizza and then they would make my order? WTH? The delivery guys says I can’t return it, I have other stops to make and leaves. To the owner of this establishment, you shouldn’t have “Joseph “ arguing with customers who could be repeat customers if not treated the way they were as your first...

I gave a Five -Star rating not as some dining expert but as a husband who had a great meal and time with his wife celebrating our anniversary. We like most judge a restaurant on the food , the service, and the ambience. But most important to us is how we feel once we leave a place where we spent our hard earned money. Did we have a good experience and how does our tummy feel. We felt GREAT!!! We had our choice of dining experiences across the city to celebrate and my wife gave me 5-Stars for my selection. Our Margherita pizza was very tasty and light and our Caesar salad was super fresh and nicely dressed . Enjoyed that! Added a little Mascato on the palate and ....MMM! You do know you can judge the full establishment by its salad!? The Tiramisu was delicious and our Limoncello was the perfect conclusion to our evening at La Crostra. Our server Stoli who greeted us with a smile and was perfectly attentive at the right times. One of the female diners took a selfie with him. Timing is everything, right? We met the owner Dino who was present as he greeted us at our table. He made sure we celebrated our anniversary and had a memorable time. WE DID! Folks like many this is a small business operating under difficult circumstances. They are following CDC and CIty COVID-19 guidelines. I encourage you, your family, and your friends to visit for some great authentic Italian fare and support this business. We will be back! Real soon! Best wishes to Dino...
