I can't speak about the chocolates but this is the worst customer service I've seen. My 1 year old was holding a plastic bag of chocolates and slightly tore the carton (see pic below). The chocolates were not damaged whatsoever and the carton could def be mended. Elderly blond woman forced us to buy the chocolates due to being "damaged." Never seen this before in any store we've gone. I might not remember how the chocolates taste but I will definetely remember how this woman made me feel. Will not be visiting here again.
Respone to your comment below: The fact that you accusse me of trying to hide the product is dishonest in itself. The product was placed right where it was found which was right in front of the display and the first that you see and grab when you come to the area. If my intention was to hide it. That would not be the location. What was dishonest is you asking for the product, me showing you the location and you grabbing and handing this product to another member of our party to pay without an ounce of conversation. We only found out that you gave this product to pay after we left the cafe. That is not how you do business. If you wanted me to pay for it right away, you should have that conversation with me and given it to ME, not someone else that had nothing to do with holding the baby. I'll come back to my original statement: very poor communication and customer service. Cherry on top: you constantly comparing this scenario with how things are done in "Europe." Which is a bit pompous I might say but also not true. Europe is a big place and you will find kind people that forgive the actions of a 1 year old child (I should know I'm from...
Read moreLeonidas Cafe Chocolaterie was the perfect way to start our morning. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the heavenly aroma of freshly baked pastries, rich Belgian chocolate, and freshly brewed coffee, it felt like stepping into a cozy European café tucked away on a quiet street.
I ordered the Triple Hot Chocolate and an Almond Chocolate Croissant, and let me tell you, this was the breakfast of dreams. I’ve been on a mission to find the best hot chocolate, and I’ve sampled dozens across the city. This one instantly made it into my top three. The hot chocolate was velvety and luxurious, with a deep cocoa richness that wrapped around your taste buds like a silk scarf. It had layers, first the bold, slightly bitter edge of dark chocolate, then a wave of creamy milk chocolate sweetness, and finally a whisper of white chocolate rounding it all out. Served steaming hot, it was perfectly sippable without being too thick or too sweet.
The Almond Chocolate Croissant was a revelation. Golden and flaky on the outside with delicate layers that crumbled just slightly with each bite, giving way to a pillowy, buttery interior. The almond filling was nutty and subtly sweet, and the embedded dark chocolate added the perfect touch of richness. Dipping it into the hot chocolate? Absolute magic. It was like breakfast and dessert had fallen in love.
This meal felt indulgent in the best way possible, comforting, satisfying, and joyful. If you’re looking for a beautiful, decadent start to your day, Leonidas Cafe Chocolaterie is non-negotiable. I’ll be dreaming about that croissant until...
Read moreOn a whim while waiting for the bus, my partner and I walked into Leonidas Chocolate Cafe to order a quick drink and a bite to eat while we waited. We ordered the vanilla iced chai latte and the bacon croissant. The vanilla chai tasted exactly how I think all chai should. It was the perfect mixture of creamy and sweet with subtle hints of spice on the back end. The bacon croissant was similarly spectacular with a perfect balance of all its ingredients. The bacon was perfectly cooked—not so crisp it’s brittle, but not so soft it’s chewy—and played beautifully with the cheese and egg. The croissant itself was fresh, flaky, and fluffy. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to bring our drink and food out to our table individually and with a smile. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and there was a very pleasant patio in the back. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but it’s well worth the expense. Altogether this was one of the best spur-of-the-moment decisions I’ve...
