Hidden in plain sight, this place is a treasure trove of culinary excellence, run by the most heartwarming husband and wife team you'll ever meet. Every visit to this establishment is more than just a meal; it's an experience that transports you straight to the heart of Italy.
First off, let’s talk about the vibe of this place. From the moment you walk in, the owners make you feel incredibly welcome. There’s an undeniable warmth in their greeting, a kind of hospitality that’s rare and genuine. They have this way of making every customer feel special, creating an atmosphere that’s both friendly and inviting. It’s clear they pour their hearts into their deli, and it shows in every detail, from the decor to the way they remember your favorites.
Now, onto the star of the show - the Italian sub. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill sandwich. It’s a masterpiece of flavors and textures, each bite taking you closer to Italy. The bread, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, is just the beginning. The meats are top-notch, rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned, paired with the freshest veggies and a blend of condiments that hit all the right notes. It’s evident that there’s a lot of thought and care put into making each sub not just good, but exceptional.
What really sets this deli apart, though, is the sense of community it fosters. The owners have a knack for making connections with their customers, making you feel like part of a big, Italian family. Their passion for food and people radiates throughout the place, making it a beacon for those who appreciate great food served with love.
I find myself driving 45 minutes from the suburbs just to get my hands on one of their subs. It’s not just about the food, although that alone is worth the trip. It’s about the experience, the warmth, and the feeling of being valued and appreciated. In a bustling city like Chicago, this deli is a slice of home.
So, if you're ever in the area and craving an Italian sub that will blow your mind, head over to this deli. Trust me, it’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that you’ll want to come back for, time...

I would recommend this over any other fast food restaurants. It is cheap as well. I believe I payed $12 for the sandwich itself. Only half of it I was able to eat and the other half, I had either finish it, throw it out, or save it for later and hope it doesn't spoil (I was not around a fridge at the time).
Giardia spicy, is really not spicy. It's more mild than spicy. You will feel the taste of it later in...

Only 2 small meatballs on the Mostaccioli and a bit of sauce/gravy. Gravy reminded me of middle school lunch. For approximately $16 it was sort of a rip off. The Italian sub tasted pretty good. Definitely not worth $15 for it though. Place is crazy expensive for the portion sizing.
Then we both got ill approximately 3 hours later. I puked, she had stomach issues and was on the toilet for an hour. Never will...
