**FACTS So My Good Girlfriend "HIGHLY" recommended this place as she absolutely LOVES the Burgers. So my Niece, Son and I agreed to go.......And "I" will never go again. I called to inquire if today's special was Burger and Fries for $6.00. Her: Turtles ❤ ME: Hi, is today's special Burger and Fries for $6.00 Her: Yes ♥️ ME: What time do you close Her: 9:00 (Demeanor Totally Changed)🤨 ME: Thanks We mutually end the call I call back to place the order Her: Turtles ME: I would like to place an order for pick up Her: Go ahead ME: Am I able to get Burger in Lettuce instead of Bun Her: Yeah ME: What all comes on your Burgers Her: Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions and Pickles ME: Okay, I will one in Lettuce with everything mo Pickles and as I proceed to tell her of the next Burger Her: Ma'am, I am writing this down (In Her Nastiest Voice) ME: Okay Her: What's on the other one ME: Everything, do you add any condiments Her: No ME: Okay, Everything I guess "WE MUTUALLY AGREED" to end the call. Keep in mind this is my FIRST time patronizing this joint and I am parked in front of the wrong establishment and once we realized I called back to ask of the exact location and I guess I must have hit a nerve with her by this time (If I were reading this post I would say DANG, the CUSTOMER sure is asking a heck of a lot of questions). I won't share that experience and I won't share the bare minimum exchange once inside but I will say this I put the money in her hand and she placed my change on the counter (I extended my hand) and once the food was ready she ABSOLUTELY REFUSED TO SHOW HER APPRECIATION OF ME DOING BUSINESS AT TURTLES. I could not bring myself to even eat the food but my Niece and Son did (JESUS WEP). I wasn't looking for PROFERRENTIAL treatment, just some good old Customer Service. I don't EVER want to ruin her day EVER again. Fortunately I can not rate the food. I give them 5⭐'s in hopes that this was an...
Read moreI’ve been here a few times before and while the food is pretty decent, the service can be a little shaky and slow at times. It’s a cute neighborhood pub, but along with it being a neighborhood pub comes the drunken Soxs fans with it. Last time I was here, an older, very belligerent man came up to our table and started making racist comments about the Uber driver who had dropped us off. It was quite uncomfortable and no one in the bar seemed to care he was making extremely racist comments and acting a bit out of control. Maybe this is the norm here, but it made me uncomfortable and I knew people were watching us and no one interjected. I highly recommend the Parmesan fries, they are phenomenal. Make sure to get them with a side of ranch, because the ranch at Turtles is way better than any other ranch I’ve had before. The onion rings are also very good, and so are the mozzarella sticks. I’ve also found that the hours they are open are quite inconsistent. There have been a few times I’ve walked over while I had checked the hours online saying they are open, and I arrived just to find out that...
Read moreWanted to come for years. Finally did. Small but cozy inside dining area on the ground level. They also have a upstairs dining area (for parties) and outdoor seating. Beer selection is fairly good. Small list of beers on tap and mostly hoppy IPAs. Also a few cider choices.
Food was pretty good. Had the chicken parmesan sandwich. The chicken was tender and juicy with just the right amount of marinara sauce (not dripping like other places) and melted cheese all on fresh Italian bread.
Update - 10/04/20
This is now a regular hang out spot for my friends and I on every other Saturday or so. Food is amongst the best in the neighborhood. Their pasta bolognese is excellent. Meat sauce is on point. Creamy, rich tomato and savory meat flavors. I tried with meatballs, sausage, and chicken on top and garlic bread on the side. Can't go wrong with any of those additions.
Beer section has fallen due to pandemic hard times. Hopefully beer selection goes back to be good after...
