4/15/23 - My wife and I came here for lunch. We stayed at the Jaslin Hotel and had decided to walk around and saw this place and decided to give it a try. This is a small mom and pop restaurant. After taking our order waiting for our food, this place became a full house. There were 2 waiters, one of them seemed like she couldn't really handle the busy pressure of the restaurant. Our food did take a while to come out as if there was only 1 cook in the back. Looking around, food was coming out slow for other people too. I ordered the triple BBQ combo over rice and my wife's first order was the oxtail, but they did not have oxtail so she got the duck over rice. When the food did come out, it was warm, but the flavor of the meat was delicious. The triple BBQ was BBQ pork, duck, and roasted pork. All the meat was tender and was full of flavor, one of the best I've had. The roast pork skin was also crispy. The combo also comes with some bok choy and that had good flavor as well. Considering the price of meat has gone up, this place was actually pretty well priced. Overall, service might be slow, but the food made up for it. Will come back to try the noodle dishes.
4-6-24 Wife and I came back. I ordered the beef tendon and beef shank soup with thin noodles and beef brisket meat. Broth is meaty flavor. Meat is super soft and tenders. For the price, it is worth it. How does a place not raise their menu price when everywhere else is raising...

pretty quiet ambience at lunchtime with a mix of large families and smaller groups. we ordered the following dishes (** = highly recommend):
**5 spices beef shank noodle soup with wide rice noodles: this was excellent- the beef was cooked to perfection- so tender and flavorful, and the broth was fresh and soul-replenishing.
**stir-fried pepper steak: steak was incredibly seasoned and stir-fried, pairing perfectly with the vegetables it came with.
**cumin lamb xinjiang style: the lamb was bold in flavor, the cumin adding a wonderfully strong kick.
**stir-fried string beans: a classic- you can never go wrong
fish stomach and chives with xo sauce: fish stomach wasn’t really my vibe, but i still enjoyed the light and fresh flavors of the dish.
singapore rice noodles: slightly soggy, but overall the flavors were good.
every dish offered large, hearty portions and did not hold back on the veggies, which were crisp and refreshing. the family who owns this restaurant was also super sweet. prices are also great, especially compared to other nearby restaurants- our group of 6 filled ourselves with so much food for...

It's located in an odd location kind of hidden off near the alley but this place serves great food and great prices!!!!
I've ordered many of their ramen/noodle soups they are all delicious! You can't go wrong trying any of them.
My favorite dishes are the sizzling beef tenderloin in black pepper sauce $14.95 it comes out in a hot cast iron skillet which is literally sizzling!!! Hence the dish name, it's served with onions and bell peppers and is absolutely savory and packed with flavor!! I really like that the beef is thinly sliced each time I order this dish. I don't like fatty chunky beef.
The walnut shrimp is also a fav, semi sweet jumbo deep fried shrimp covered in a creamy sauce with walnuts and is always served with bright fresh broccoli.
I've ordered these dishes during in person dining and for take out. They portion size for take out was smaller for walnut shrimp than when dining in which was a disappointment. But they are extremely generous with the beef dish for in person and for take out.
This place can get packed on weekends I recommend coming during weekdays.
