Legend Tasty House — Restaurant in Chicago

Legend Tasty House has just become an INSTANT Chicago classic go to spot! Originally I saw some clips on it, on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I’m thinking to myself, this is just another ice cream spot in Chicago but man was I wrong. This Legend Tasty House is definitely in a category of its own. Let me work through the experience so you will have a better understanding how I got to this review. First I pulled up Google maps to find the location. It said Chinatown and I’m like “Damn, Chinatown goes hard on the weekend when the weather is nice.” Not to be denied, I continued my journey. I park my truck and have to walk 5 blocks to get to the spot. When I drove past it, the line was ultimately long as if they were giving away money. I get in line and the wait was the real deal but no one was complaining. I get a chance to place my order for the strawberry and vanilla demo. Once I get my order I grab a seat and take that first bite and that’s when I knew, this place is on a whole DIFFERENT LEVEL when it comes to ice cream shops. BPA stands for bisphenol A, a chemical used to make certain plastics and resins. It's found in thermal paper receipts. Which looks like the receipts they use here. BPA can transfer from your fingers to the food and then into your body.

The flavors I decided to try with my sister and niece was the Strawberry Lady, Perfect Pair and Green Tea Queen. The Strawberry Lady was a strawberry-flavored ice cream, topped with whipped cream, fresh blueberries and a strawberry-chocolate covered pocky stick-which turned out to be such a yummy flavored ice cream. The Perfect Pair consisted of a mango-flavored ice cream, topped with whipped cream, fresh mangos & strawberries-which was my FAVORITE flavor out of the three. The taste was extremely tropical, and so rich in flavor. Lastly, the Green Tea Queen consisted of green tea-flavored ice cream, topped with whipped cream, mini marshmallow, fresh strawberries and a green tea-chocolate covered pocky stick. This one turned out to be my least favorite because the green tea was not rich in flavor, very bland, compared to other green tea ice cream I’ve had.
