Casa Ramos — Restaurant in Chico

I sat down and it took about 20 minutes for someone to take my order after I waved them down. It took another 25 minutes to get my food. I asked for salsa verde and they looked at me like I was from Mars. Worst taco and tamale I’ve ever had. Taco Bell is better!!! I ordered cilantro rice but got red rice. I asked for black beans and got refried beans. I didn’t even want beans and rice but there was no a la carte! I picked up my taco and grease just poured out of my taco. I squeezed it til my plate was filled with grease. The taco was soggy! The lettuce tasted like bleach. The service matched the food…HORRIBLE! I had to go to the wait station to get my order taken, I had to go to the wait station to get a check. What a waste of money and time and my digestion was upset for days after! I don't know if I get more food when I eat in or when I call it in to be picked up but I must say I just got a to-go order just now of a 2 enchilada dinner and it came in a huge take out type pan. And chips and salsa too which I forgot to ask for so I'm glad that they threw them in and mind you my order was placed about 13 minutes before they closed. The only thing that would have made this extremely perfect is if I could have got one of their big margaritas to go also. LOL which I probably could have....oh well...next time! Tried it for the first time today, pretty good! I've had better Mexican food and I've also had worse in Chico. I would say this is a good average Mexican restaurant. Salsa was good and my enchiladas were delicious. The sauce didn't taste like canned sauce like other places. Rice could be better but still good enough. Margaritas were okay but could tell they use a mix, so not the best I've had. This place definitely will fill the need if you have a craving for Mexican food.
