this is our go-to place for food. we like this little Italian restaurant, The friendly staff, is always nice and clean the waitress and waiters are really nice no complaints at all. FOOD: is good, always tasty, and has good flavor. we love coming here. TO THE MANAGER: About the calamari: The calamari is cooked so big and not cut into small pieces is like you can see the entire Octopus on your table. does not even look like an appetizer it was hard to look at it, please please, if you can ask your chef to make it in smaller "appetizer " size pieces that will be better. The last 2 times we were there it was bad we didn't even eat it. The ENTIRE PRESENTATION OF THIS APPETIZER IS SO BAD. you cant get your fork and share this because is TWO HUGE PICES AND MAKE A FEW RINGS. how is this call an appetizer TO GO ORDERS !!! TO GO BOXES : Most dishes like Alfredo and anything is cooked with Oil, and when you take it to go, not sure if you are using Sugarcane Take-Out Containers but, by the time I get home to OPEN, MY MEAL IS ALL DRY AND NOT JUICE ALL THE JUICES ARE GONE. maybe consider putting foil paper underneath to help, is so dry that the taste is gone. Please if you can invest on better plastic containers the food WILL TASTE FRESH AND CUSTOMERS WILL ENJOY THE JUICES OF THE FOOD. I order a lot from your store Take out and the food when it gets home to my table is dry and due to the Container that sucks up all the flavor . *** I have attached some samples of TO GO CONTAINERS that will help keep the food fresh for customers*******

Stopped by this awesome homey restaurant in a huge car rest stop near Exit 34 of CA-60 E Pomona Freeway and IT WAS FANTASTIC. I got a full rest & refueled myself with yummy Italian dishes, while my car was parked in a tree shaded spot - which there are many! This place serves really nice Italian cuisine with European pub vibes & atmosphere inside (I LOVE THIS FEELING SINCE WALKING IN OMG) Lovely music, partitioned seatings, dim lighting, great food smell, wine shelf, vintage restroom, etc.. Here are the cheat sheet if you are blank of what to order: ✦ starter cheesy garlic bread: perfect seasoning, crispy thin crust ✦ main low cal salmon: juicy & tender salmon with nicely grilled veggies chicken masala: my favorite pasta OMG lasagna: soft & properly cooked & cheesy ✦ side (comes with main) Julie's wedding soup: delicious soup with a lot of ingredients salad (ranch, Italian dressing): fresh mix of your favorites ✦ drink Italian soda: carbonated & creamy - very yummm The staff here are all really nice and made me feel at home. This is a very impressive & unique feeling to experience at a restaurant.. I'm sure you'll be blessed with food and love here!!

This place was good, but not amazing. If I ever come back, it's for the fruit pizza. The food, service, & place is forgettable. It's clean. The bathrooms are clean, pretty, & relaxing. The place was intimate & cozy, but I didn't get the let's have a romantic date here vibe from it. Our waitress was good, & sweet. She did scare me a few times because she kept trying to take 6 people's plates away. I felt like it was going to fall on me. I figured eventually she knows what she's doing & won't drop them, so kudos to her. I did enjoy the 2 Italian sodas (sparkling water with whole cream & whip cream) I had: mango and strawberry. The food appetizers and main courses were okay. My boyfriend had the chicken Alfredo and the broke the sauce, so his sauce was watery & over starched. My lemon herb chicken was good. I especially enjoyed the veggies. The best part was the fruit pizza. It's basically a giant shortbread cookie with delicious fruit on it. Definitely give it a try. It's worth the price.

My parents took me out to Cannataro's for my birthday dinner although my actual birthday was a couple days ago. I really like Italian food & I had never been to this place before so we went.😊 When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly hostess. It took a couple of minutes to be seated because they had to check what table was available. Our server arrived quickly & introduced himself. He asked if we wanted any drinks while we were deciding on what to order. We started off w/glasses of iced water w/a lemon wedge. Our server went to get the waters returning w/them & a basket of garlic bread. The garlic bread was alright, a bit dry. My father & I perused the food menu as well as the wine & drink menu.😄 My mother doesn't really drink so she continued looking over the food menu. The menu itself is just a single laminated sheet w/items listed on the front & back. I thought it was a good amount of choices. When our server returned to take our order, I ordered 1st. I'm letting u guys know right now that I forgot to take pics, so sorry. Anyway, our server started w/me. I was in the mood for seafood so I ordered the Linguini Pescatore w/a soup/salad-$23.99. The entree consists of clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari & chunks of salmon in a light marinara wine sauce. I chose the soup-Minestrone. I also ordered a glass of wine. I wanted the Flor da Moscato, but the server came back to tell me that they were out of that particular Moscato. He gave me 2 other options, one of which I hadn't seen in the wine list. The other Moscato was called Cupcake Moscato. I figured, if it has the words "cupcake" in front of it, then it's probably going to be sickly sweet. I ended up changing my mind & going w/Sangria. Next was my father, who ordered the Cannataro's Special Pizza-Sm 10" for $17.99. It has pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, fresh mushrooms, onions, bell pepper, olives & garlic. My dad also ordered a glass of wine, a Chianti. But, when the server returned to tell me they were out of the wine I wanted, he informed my father that they were completely out of Chianti & apologized for the inconvenience. My dad settled on a glass of Merlot. Finally, my mom ordered the Sampler Platter w/soup/salad-$20.99. Her entree was portions of Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo & Chicken Parmesan. She chose a salad for her side. A short while later, our server returned w/my mom's salad & my cup of soup, plus mine & my dad's wine. For a side the salad was a good size. My mom split it w/my dad. U know, even though my soup was only a cup, it was rich, hearty & full of flavor. I think it's the best Minestrone I have ever had. At 1st sip, I was a little disappointed w/the Sangria. I was expecting that fruity flavor right off the bat, but it just tasted like regular wine to me w/ strawberries, blackberries & blueberries in it. It wasn't until I let it sit for a while that I got the fruity flavors coming thru. Our server asked if we were ready for the entrees. We said "Yes." He quickly returned w/our food. My plate was more like a large shallow bowl. As far as the shellfish in the dish, there were 2 shrimp, 2 mussels & 2 clams. There were plenty of calamari rings which were tender. There seemed to be a filet of salmon that had been cubed into bite size pieces. One thing I wasn't expecting, but had no problem eating were the little squid tentacles. My mom saw a little cluster of tentacles, & was like "What is that?!" I replied. "What?" "What's on your fork?" I looked at my mom, then answered. "It's the squid tentacles." I shoved it into my mouth. She looked at me w/disgust. I just smirked & continued eating. I really enjoyed my food. The only thing about the tentacles is unlike the calamari rings, they were a bit chewy. For those of u that have a problem w/eating anything spider like, the tentacles are in large enough pieces that u could set them aside.😄 My dad enjoyed his pizza although he disliked the sogginess of the inner crust. He wished the crust...

I'm really confused by all the excellent reviews. I was so excited to try this place out because of the reviews, but my experience was nothing like the glowing reviews.

It wasn't particularly busy when we visited, yet, somehow, service was just meh, at best. Except for taking our order and dropping our food off we saw our waiter a grand total of twice; once I had to wave him down and say "excuse me" in a raised voice.

Our drink orders were quickly taken and brought out in a reasonable amount of time, but after that it was just downhill. (A different person handled our drinks.) It was quite a bit before our order was taken and also a bit before food came out. I gave it a pass on the length of time for the food coming out because I know quality food can take a bit longer to make. Unfortunately, I can't say the food was quality. We ordered the wedding soup with our entrées, while it was warm and fine, I found that it was on the salty side and had a somewhat canned taste. We ordered the spicy calamari and stuffed mushroom appetizers; the only thing spicy about the calamari were the fried jalapeño slices; the marinara dipping sauce was almost certainly of the pre-made variety. The mushrooms were salty and a bit rubbery - I only ate one and a half before calling it quits. My little guy had the chicken tenders and spaghetti; a couple of the chicken strips were dry and hard, the spaghetti must have used the same sauce as the calamari. My little guy did not want to finish his food and he LOVES chicken. I had the veal piccata with linguini; the bite of linguini I ate was fine, if salty. I would have liked to taste the lemon, wine, or garlic that the menu mentions though, instead of only salt. However, the veal was so salty I reflexively spit it out and drank as much water as I could to stop the burning. My brother ordered the pasta sampler; he said the Alfredo was the only good thing. The chicken parmesan was dry, had a bone sliver in it, and was tough to eat - he only ate half; the lasagna was meh and very salty - again he only ate about half.

We had to flag down our waiter to ask for forks after sitting for a bit, unable to eat our entrées. My brother had finished eating before the waiter came to check on us. When he finally showed up, I sent the veal piccata back - it is the first time in my life I've ever sent food back! The waiter offered to have my food remade, but I was just over it by this point and asked for the check.

The piccata was still on our check so I addressed it with the girl at the front desk. She asked if they had remade the order for me. I said no, that I didn't want it remade, I just wanted to go. She just disappeared into the back for a bit before returning and removing the item from my check.

Overall, it was just a bad experience. Maybe it was a really bad day for this establishment, but I will not be returning. That was quite a bit of money for us to leave hungry and in need of copious amount of water. It's really too bad because I have been on a search for a good Italian restaurant for...
