I've always heard really good reviews and really terrible reviews about this place, usually not very middle of the road reviews. Today I'm leaving a terrible review after trying it for the first time on Sunday December 17th 2022. My favorite food is frittas mojaras and when my plate showed up around 45 minutes after ordering, The fish looked surprisingly good and I wasn't too upset about the long wait time for our orders to be taken which was an hour, I wasn't upset about the taste of their organic tequila because whatever a few steps in and it doesn't even matter what it taste like, I wasn't upset anymore about the 45-minute wait for my food because it looked like it was going to be worth the wait. I started eating and it was okay. Nothing I'd ever spend my money on again but not something I regretted well today I woke up at 1:00 a.m. and vomited all that fish out. I've been feeling sick for the last few hours and I am absolutely disgusted. I wasn't going to post any kind of review about this place unless it was either great or terrible and because I had a very bad experience digesting their food I will also dive into the decorum and cleanliness. The dining room is extremely overcrowded and yet there is so little seating. It's almost as if the designer had exquisite taste but didn't know how to make their ideas have a good flow. The disgusting carpeted walkways are crowded and very slim. The building smells like old carpeting. The tables along the wall have holes in the wooden paneling where you can see dust, trash, and spider webs. I saw french fry in the whole in the wall by my table. All the lamp shades, all the molding, any flat surface that wasn't the tables was covered in dust and if you have ever watched kitchen nightmares you know that dust floats down into food. The most annoying thing about the restaurant was they couldn't take our orders separately. It was a relatively decent sized party but nothing a big and popular restaurant can't handle (Unless it's a very poorly run restaurant). They said that they could not Bella separately but we could use different cards for one bill. They refused to explain their receipts, the orders and what the abbreviations meant, and we had to take around 45 minutes figuring out the bill and how we were going to pay for it all. It's unfortunate that we left the tip we left it was $40 and our total was $117 for just the three meals that that we were covering out of the $900 order (total tip was well over 40, we're not cheapskates). I regret leaving any tip, this restaurant was a disappointment, unsanitary, unpleasant, and undeserving of...
Read moreBy looking at the reviews, I can tell no one really cares what you have to say. People will continue to come, it's a bar! I'll just post my experience anyway. Maybe you can use it as a warning. I can also tell that being escorted out by staff is common at this place. I'm now one of many who have been embarrassed and escorted out. Unfortunately for me, I was escorted out of the bar by multiple security men for not giving up my seat. The man who wanted my seat clearly had some push. He was with multiple girls so maybe he was given VIP treatment? This strange man demanded my seat while I was still seating on it! When I refused, seconds later I was being asked to leave by not only, "management" but by several guys. I still had a beer in my hand and when I asked why, I was given no reason. They tried to put my hands on me but I refused and decided to walk out on my own. When I asked for an explanation outside the bar, I was told I was drunk and I can't even stand still. I was disappointed with his response. Here is a manager lying about my behavior right to my face. The truth is, I was having beers and watching the Dodger's game. No matter what anybody's defense is, it doesn't matter. You lost the moment you took a sip of alcohol. It's your word against the "sober staff." Anyway it doesn't matter, this place will probably shut down for a bit. There was definitely heavy drug use by some of the security guys in the men's room that I witnessed. I don't mean 420 either. That's probably why I...
Read moreMe and my husband waited for almost two hours to get seated. Under the circumstances that many restaurants are in and the struggles that they are facing one would try their hardest to accommodate every guest and treat everyone equally. The wait time is nothing to complain about because I’m a very patient person but to see what I was seeing after we were seated was unprofessional and poorly managed. I saw the staff seat customers that had just arrived and were not even on the list. By the looks of their interactions it seemed like the staff knew these customers and just completely ignored the very patient customers who had been waiting plus hours and who were on the list. This is complete favoritism and not great service at all. I had called and the restaurant earlier in the day and was told that reservations were not needed and it was on a first come first serve service. However, they failed to mention that unless I knew a worker I’d be waiting close to two hours. I will never return to this place and will be telling everyone I know about the service your staff provides here. Plenty of restaurants are in need of business right now and I believe it is not the time to be treating your customers unfairly. Rather than to give my business to a restaurant that is poorly managed and allow their staff to perform this way, I will be taking my business elsewhere where I am treated equally and is known to not running its service like it’s some sort of “VIP”...
