I really like this place. My husband and I come often for the fish&chips dinner. I come once a month to have lunch with a high school friend. There is a large electronic menu board by the counter. The menu is pretty extensive, and there is something for everyone. Once you make your selection, you go to the counter and place your order. They will give you an order number and deliver your order to your table. There is a rewards program you can join, and if you register your credit card, you will receive the rewards automatically when you pay. They will also send email coupons sometimes. Drinks and chips, and salsa are self-serve. You get your own refills as needed. You can select any table that is available either inside or outside on the patio. Today, I got my usual shrimp wrap, and my friend got a veggie wrap. The wraps are generous and more than enough for lunch. They are always made fresh and this time they came with an extra small side of sauce. My only complaint is that when paying, the machine asks for a tip. The choices start at 18% and go up. I don't mind tipping, but expecting 18%+ seems a little excessive when I am doing a lot of the usual work. It does offer an "other" button, but this is hard to do on the spur of the moment and uncomfortable to use while the cashier is watching. I think there should be a 15% option at this type...
Read moreI went to Papachino's recently with my beloved girlfriend and ordered Mahi Mahi Taco, a Cobb Salad, Blackened Salmon Taco, and a Shrimp Taco. The food was so terrible it honestly felt like a prank. The beans were tasteless and watery. The red salsa (the only choice of salsa there) tastes like Prego (a low-end spaghetti sauce) or marinara, watered down with bit of cilantro and onions sprinkled in.
The salmon was cooked, but again was extremely bland and was not seasoned at all and was not blackened. The other dishes and fish were as bland as hospital food. Moreover, the Cobb Salad was devoid of avocado and it felt like the bland (see the theme here?) chicken within was microwaved.
Service was actually very good, but I have to give a 1 star because the food was terrible. And, when I respectfully explained to a waitress to let management know, she had the nerve to say my food was good, saying my salmon was blackened and that "people like the salsa." Well people use chewing tobacco too right? It doesn't mean it's good for you. Lack of the ability of the restaurant to take positive criticism, and then charge money as if your food tastes good, is an unfair deal for consumers.
Don't get defensive, just try seasoning your food please, no one can...
Read moreReally good food, really good and friendly servers!
I had some fish tacos and their mac n cheese. Both were really good! Their mac and cheese is more of an adult version and the portion is huge! Probably enough to fill up two ppl if that was all they ate. It wasn't cheesy though, more like a pasta dish, so don't tell your kids that it's mac n cheese; they'll probably be disappointed. I had the seafood version and I would recommend it.
What I noticed the most was their service; They came to our table to check on things 4 or 5 times! They were friendly each time and offered anything we needed. The first person to bring out appetizers even had a handful of plates and forks for us! Wow.
The only qualm I have is that the servers are not masked. It's not a big deal to me since we're eating unmasked anyways but keep that in mind. If you want to dine at a super cautious place, this might not be a good choice for you. Even the cashier barely had his mask on and he was the only one who "wore" a mask.
Overall, I would recommend this place. There's even a large outdoor area if you want some fresh...
