Read moreMy husband ordered taco plate, the al pastor was weird, the sauce wasn't good, and there were chunks of unrendered fat on the pork. My friend ordered the mulas; a lot of cheese was not melted, the tortillas dry and on BOTH plates the beans and rice were COLD COLD COLD.
I ordered the menudo. I can not even tell you how horrible THAT BOWL was. The tripe was really thin and not fully cleaned. Tripe was a disgusting rubbery mess, and the broth lacked any kind of flavor. Usually there is some thickness/richness in the broth from the gelatin that transfers when you boil the tripe properly. Also, the pastor had a sweet pineapple seasoning that didn’t include too much grease either. I don’t give five stars lightly, but this restaurant hits the mark perfectly in terms of flavor, price, and friendly service. I can’t wait to go back...
