Chief's Da Crab Shack — Restaurant in Chula Vista

I love it here. The service is fast, friendly. I’m a vet so I love the fact that it’s veteran owned. The house sauce is great I love it. I’ve been to this place three times since I’ve moved to the area and every time the food was great however the only thing I can say is that the crab legs get cold extremely fast and sometimes they’re hard to crack open, and once they become cold, I don’t want to eat it anymore; then it’s kind of a waste of money. And crab isn’t cheap. I think the crab getting cold fast has to do with it being in a bowl, so the air gets to it quicker or something .. I’m not sure. But other that that food is good and I still love coming here. And I met the owner once...

I stopped in for lunch this time w/my Mom. I ordered the shrimp lettuce wraps w/bang bang sauce & cajun fries. Oh boy was it delicious! Mom ordered the fish & chips & the batter was light & the fish was juicy. The kale salad that came with the fish & chips was nicely chopped & tender to the bite. We finished our meal with an order of churro fries...bomb! I love this place & the vibe. Next time I will bring the crew for a seafood boil! Must try everything at least once on...
