Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Chula Vista

Drove up to the drive thru. I had asked the guy who was taking the order, if they use MSG in the fries. First, he had a hard time understanding (it didn't help that the speaker volume was low ). So he would repeat random letters. I even said it stands for Monosodium Glutamate. Second, he had no clue what MSG was. Long story short. He told us to drive up to window and he can answer the question. Arrive at the window and it's a woman. I ask her. Do you use MSG in your fries? She also had no clue. When we questioned the seasoned fries on the menu. She said there is no season on the seasoned fries. And that the regular fries only have salt. I said okay? I have a bad allergy to MSG. Then she comes back with a curly fry and a regular fry for me to sample. We ordered from the menu without the fries. She couldn't even tell us what was in the obviously displayed seasoned fries on the menu.

Suggestions

1. Upgrade speaker system
2. Employ individuals who speak English/bilingual
3. Educate the employees on how your food is prepared. Especially, and I emphasize ...

This place is usually always quick and friendly. I go here alot to get drinks since I work right next to it and I have never had a bad experience. I wish they offered some healthier choices such as the parfaits but I also understand it is fast food! If I'm looking for a snack, I always get their apple slices that come with carmel dipping sauce. Aside from the Carmel, the apples and a salad are the only healthy items.

Their garlic friends are amazing for a fast food place. However they have their Jack floats and they put ice in the root beer float.... I asked for no ice the next time I went and the lady said it wasn't possible 🤦 she said if there was no ice, the ice cream would just float and make a mess. I suggested adding the ice cream first then the soda and she looked at me like I was crazy. Lol so just stay away from those and...

Not even a 1 star bad Service !! I live in the neighbor hood in Bonita cal . Order breakfast for my grandsons before school !! This jack in the box always gets my order wrong ! I always give the benifit of dout ? And just re order !! Not only do they get it wrong they over charge , because it’s a less expensive item they give me !!
