This place used to have lines outside back in the late 90's and earlier 2000s, my fam and I used to come here all the time and they would serve all your food into those styrofoam food plates and fill it to the brim. You could easily feed a family for days with those portions and with great customer service, it was the best place to get chinese back in the day.
I moved back into town and stopped by recently with my cousin visiting from TJ and the quality dropped so bad, I was really shocked.
You can no longer go inside to order, you have to go to the window with this rude woman who very arrogantly told me that I have to order at the window. I didn't want to make a comment about it but my cousin and I noticed very quickly how aggressive and annoyed her tone was.
And when you make an order now a days, they no longer give the food in those plates I mentioned, it all now in these tiny to go containers for prices ranging from $5 to $12 per container?? And the worst part, according to the woman who attended us, she said that the container sizes change with every entree. A small container for broccoli beef is very different for spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was going to come in a paper chinese take out box the size of an apple and for a higher price.
The lack of transparency and consistency with the box sizes at this place is extremely shady and dishonest, we were not surprised by all the reviews that mention the lack of clarity other customers had with the portions.
Fun fact: If you go on Yelp, you'll see that this place has received 6 Food Violations, the 2 most recent being in Oct and Nov of 2024. Do what you will with that information.
My cousin and I decided to leave, there was no way we were going to pay over $12 for a apple sized container of spicy chicken and be treated with disrespected for asking follow up questions on why each meat had different container sizes. That woman was very defensive and rude; the change in management has made this place take a...
Read moreI'm going to preface this with the fact that I live in Bakersfield and haven't lived in Chula Vista since 2005. I got a phone call today from this place and the woman who called from here was incredibly rude. She said "I had an order from a lady with this number". Ok? I guarantee you that the owner of this phone number didn't place an order from you. Shift in tone from inquisitive to hostile "Ok...well a lady called and placed an order from this number and it needs to be picked up now". ...I don't know what to tell you...? There is no lady here that placed an order, I don't even live in the area. 😤 "Ok...well I'ma have to block your number then". Good, save me the trouble of blocking yours.
Maybe consider you either got pranked by someone with a program that can change the caller ID number, or the customer simply gave you the wrong callback number, don't cold call someone and immediately get hostile when they didn't place an order NOR EVEN LIVE WITHIN 4 HOURS DRIVING DISTANCE. Check your employees and have them brush up on their...
Read morePLEASE BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A SHRIMP ALLERGY! I have a severe allergy to shrimp and no sign disclosed the fried rice contained shrimp. I ordered several items and when I got home, I noticed the rice had shrimp. I called to see if there was anything that could be done since all of my order had been touching the fried rice with the shrimp in it! Unfortunately, I spoke with Cesar who claimed to be an owner and was told there was nothing that could be done! I would have to order it without shrimp and that was a special order! He would not exchange the rice and told me it was my job to disclose that I had an allergy! No where does it state that the rice contains seafood. According to Cesar there was a picture showing shrimp! I did not see the picture showing shrimp! Cesar was very rude, very unprofessional and refused to help correct this issue! Basically, he said it was my own fault and refused to help! This was my first and last time ever going to this place. Cesar was very unprofessional and...
