Horrible! Came in because they had a sale on New York steak for $2.99 a lb, went to the meat department the last day of the sale and asked for 6 lbs, I was told by worker that they didn’t have any more meat left but that he could sell me the meat they were going to sell the next day for $1 more a lb. How does that make any sense? I told him that was false advertisement and asked for a manager, he said there wasn’t one. As I was walking out, I told the cashier what had happened and she pointed out the manager to me. I told the manager what happened and he went to talk to the worker, as he was talking to him, some customers who had witnessed maybe half of the original exchange, intervened and told the manager I had been rude so the manager decided to confront me, at this point I was pretty upset, because not only had the original worked tried to rip me off and refused to call a manager over, but the manager had sided with some people who had didn’t even witness the whole exchange so I decided to tell them where they could shove the meat and left. The manager took it upon himself to harass me as I was walking out, making comments such as that’s why your hair is so gray, cos you’re angry. Anyway, I will never step foot in this store again and neither will my family. If the guy would’ve just told me they were sold out, I would’ve walked away, no problem but he tried to upsell me then refuse to tell me who his manager was. Not that the manager was much help, he decided to listen to some gossiping “ladies” (that’s putting it nicely), instead of trying to correct...

Typically I usually go to Appletree on Broadway and Oxford but over the weekend I chose to go to this one on 3rd Avenue closer to my house. I picked up some meat and two packages of cheese. Once I got home I was going to open one of the packages of cheese when I noticed inside there was mold. Grab the other package of cheese that one to had mold. I went back to the store with my receipt I notified the manager. I was able to exchange my cheese but there was no acknowledgement of how inconvenience it was or how gross and no apology. Once I got home with my new two packages. I opened up one and again there was mold. Unfortunately while picking it out I couldn't see it from the outside, the packaging was hiding it. If you're going to shop here be very careful and examine your food very closely. I certainly won't...

It's frustrating when you buy marinated meat and some of the meat you get are not marinated enough or at all. I finally am gonna leave a review since ive have enough of paying top dollar just to get regular meat numerous of times .The butchers insist to give you the one on the back counter because they dont want to have to restock the one in the front. Then you notice there are flies flying around the store while the meats are out . Im pretty sure those flies have landed on the meats since the butchers are too busy helping customers.The owner or management needs to ensure that the workers are not cutting corners or otherwise this store will be out of business soon. For me ive had enough of this place and will go somewhere where sanitation and good food handling...
