I have rated this restaurant with 4 stars a couple months ago Because food is good and ever since we continue to go here at least once a week always get the same waiter (Mario) hes always very polite Unfortunately my rating this time is for one lady waiters they have their short mexican women i did not get her name basically this lady treated Us so rudely I was in shock just for asking to combine 2 tables because we were a party of 7 people She asked me are you 7 or 6 make up your mind i said we were waiting on someone else Which at that time I was already upset and I told her why she was talking to me like that So she answered I can get in trouble for combining tables which is not true because we've been there many times. So i replay (but you don't get in trouble for being rude to customers?? And she answered well whatever are you staying or not? The owner was there and did nothing about it she literally said nothing to her for being so rude to us and continued her attitude the whole time we were there and it was never brought to her attention by the owner! so just makes me think maybe the waiters have the power to mistreat customers and the owner cant say anything about it? but definitely we won't be going back to this place sorry to( las michuacanas restaurant) you have...

After seeing this place in a YouTube video of places to eat in San Diego, I decided I wanted to take my wife there. I love carnitas and usually have to go into Mexico to get good ones. Since my favorite place for carnitas is in Leon Guanajuato, MX. I wanted to try a place a little closer to home. My wife and I went there on a Thursday afternoon about 2:30pm expecting it to be pretty empty. Top our surprise it was moderately full. Having this many customers at an off time usually means that the food is pretty good! We ordered the Carnitas by the pound, getting just one pound between us. The tortillas were very good and hot. The carnitas, rice, beans, and fixings like onions, pickled jalapeños and carrots, and cilantro were delicious. The food arrived in minutes from the time of order. We loved the carnitas and will return again! We even had some to bring home. I highly recommend this place for the carnitas, they're probably the best in San Diego.
