La Bella Cafe & Games — Restaurant in Chula Vista

Been coming here for 13 years since I was a child. Been a regular going twice a month for about a year now. Never had any complaints until I was met with the manager (I think). Bald white guy who wears a padres hat. Put down my ID for a pool table to reserve it before getting my food. Went to order fries and a beer and was dismissed bc I didn’t look old enough and didn’t have my id in hand. after explaining to the cashier that the other register had my id on reserve at the front, bald guys steps in saying “if you don’t have your id, you’re not getting a beer, I’m not losing my license.” “You can get someone else to come get the beer for you if anything” was another option they gave me until I refused and said I came alone. After a few minutes he finally went to check for himself (sorry you had to get steps in man). There needs to be a better a system in place for things like this, or perhaps a refresher on how to better handle the situation as to not make people feel belittled. The whole interaction felt as though I was being treated like a child after years of coming and having the same order. After my family bought 7 pizzas, a salad, appetizers, 2 pitchers of beer, 4 pitchers of soda, 2 bottles of wine, gelato and game credits, I was basically ask to leave for drinking a coffee from the bakery next door. I asked my husband to order a latte from la Bella's and the lady at the counter said that they didn't sell it they had a neon cappuccino sign , but it was just decoration. I wanted a coffee so went next door. I also got macaroons for home. We went back to la Bella's to rejoin the family. I put my "outside food" under the table to store for home. Then a manager comes up and said I was sneaking food in. I explained that I was not going to be eating it but taking it home and I got coffee cause his staff said they didn't sell it. I had a terrible incident at Bella’s, my favorite restaurant, with a lady who was working at 1:20 pm July 17 2018 Tuesday ( right now). I would love to rate Bella’s a 5 star, because i’ve always experienced great customer service and overall experience, but I would like Bella’s to confront this situation. There was a lady at bar who gave us the most hateful look when we wanted to dine in. She also threw menus on our table. This happened on the side of Bella’s that remains open before 2 pm.
