My daughter's and I went to your libary at 365 F St, Chula Vista, CA 91910. On date:August 17th around 0600pm. First thing we saw when walking into the kids section was homeless right outside the window lighting there pipes up with a tourch and smoken meth literally right in front of the kid section. very visible I personally went up to them and ask them to please move that kids are right there watching them. they refused so I spoke to the staff who were very nice and went outside to tell them but I doubt they listened as well. when I was leaving my daughter wanted to use the kids restroom when entering the kids not the adults restroom but the kids female restroom there was a Trans methed out homeless man/lady in there using it. This libary is nice but the homeless are getting out of control. with no one telling them to stop. They are taking advantage of this libary and walking all over the staff and no one seems to speak up. This will be the last time I use this libary. Especially the kids section if this is acceptable or just turned a blind eye too. I hope you can help with my frustration. This is going to effect the kids in the long run if the libary is a unsafe place for kids...
Read moreThe main branch location is an extremely resourceful place to check out books, movies, certain tools and devices for those with a library card. Also to do homework, go online, hang out with library buddies, learn, read, study, and to wonder. Wonder just how in the world would life be without no actual books to hold in your hand to feel, to look at, and to touch as you turn the pages. The layout of the library is easy to navigate with high vaulted ceilings in the main adult sections for a spacious area that is naturally illuminated quite well on the sunniest days. The childrens section is quite sizeable too. With a selection that is abound with reading material that should satisfy most young avid readers palette. Plenty of chairs, tables, and seats to situate yourself for any of the activities listed above. It has undergone several refurbishments throughout the years and could use some touch ups here and there. Otherwise it is a fantastic place to immerse yourself in everything what a library offers;) Attentive, helpful, and wonderful librarian staff are never too far away to assist you. Thank you Alan and Erni for my...
Read moreThe staff is very friendly and very patient. My family and I arrived to complete the passport process per our appointment times. There was one woman who arrived 15 minutes past her appointment time and seemed to expect to jump ahead of everyone else who arrived on-time. The supervisor calmly and professionally advised the woman she arrived late and would either have to reschedule or wait until all appointments cleared for further assistance. The woman eventually stormed off, and the supervisor kindly continued to assist my family and I. Several customers appeared to take out their frustrations on the staff, but it appeared such customers failed to prepare for their appointment or review all passport requirements on the library website. When completing the process, arrive early. Have checks or money orders ready and all documents available including ID's to avoid wasting anyone's time including yours. The process may take a little longer than 15 minutes, but the staff work diligently to get the process completed in a...
