Los Panchos of Chula Vista and Imperial Beach are ABSOLUTELY one of the best places to go to if you want to enjoy authentic Mexican food! First and foremost, the cleanliness of the place which I believe is the MOST important part of any food industries is how clean they are bc after all, we are CONSUMING their food and should be BEYOND the average regulations (in my eyes). Anyway, they are very clean as far as disinfecting and down to the small details are not ignored. When I do into a restaurant I like to check their lighting equipment which are usually hanging pendants for dust and The cracks in the seats. The salt n pepper shakers and any additional items that may be on the table for cleanliness and i just say they pass for being such a popular and most of the time "packed" place. I appreciate attention to detail especially when it comes to the cleanliness bc I have a mild case of OCD myself. Anyway, moving on....The prices are fair for GREAT food! And a huge THANK YOU to the lovely staff that are courteous and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant wether for breakfast, lunch and especially dinner. F.Y.I....I am a very strict critic when it comes to food and their prices AND CLEANLINESS! Y'all get a 4.5 stars...the only thing is the seating size and being able to walk around comfortably. It can become a little tight when rush hour hits but other than that GREAT JOB! KEEP UP THE GOOD...
Read moreI have always enjoyed this place growing up but wa saddened with the level of service and quality of food today. I ordered a California burrito for myself and my daughter and received what I can describe as someone else’s flash fried leftovers. The French fries were soaked in the oldest oil possible the sea of flavors and I do mean sea fish taste included were only surpassed by what guessing were fries at some point in there sad frozen journey and the meat don’t get me started on the meat!! No I’m kidding it was actually the only sad highlight keeping this burrito together. So I reluctantly took it back assuming I would get a suitable replacement. Sadly that did not happen instead they flash fried the contents AGAIN and proceeded to wrap it in the SAME TORTILLA my daughter but into. She may or may not have cooties but last I heard it’s benign. Nonetheless super unsanitary to say the least. So when I got home and reopened our “NEW” food imagine my surprise. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. You just lost a customer. Shout out to jilberto’s for keeping their fries crisp and there customer...
Read moreI have to say that this is horrible Mexican fast food. I used to come here a lot many years ago and the food was good, but now I won't be coming back. Understandably the price of food goes up but the quality shouldn't go down. I ordered the 5 roll taco special, supreme pollo asado quesadilla, regular Carne asada quesadilla, Carne asada burrito, side of fries and horchata for $50 and some change. I threw away about $25 of it. My nephew didn't enjoy the Carne asada quesadilla and ate about less than half. I had a little less than 1 quarter of my pollo asado supreme quesadilla; it was soggy and the pollo asado was almost like carnitas. Seriously, I do not know if they even serve carnitas, but the texture and taste was of carnitas, so over cooked. My dad's Carne asada burrito came out like bistec Ranchero, so not sure if they just gave us a wrong burrito. He didn't enjoy it, but didn't want to waste it so he ate it. The only reason for the 1 star, was for the rolled tacos. That was the only plate that looked appetizing and had no complaints. The fries were just blah, so no...
