Been coming here since the 80's.... lately they have been getting real sloppy especially the morning people. The night person Raul is on point. The morning people seem miserable and ruin my appetite. I go there because they are open and had decent prices.. Now there roll tacos are 5.50 plus tax for roll tacos!!! Last week the 5 roll tacos were 4.50.. some years before that 3.50, $3, 2.50, $1.99Not worth it. They are good but getting to expensive. I'm better off starving or going to get some quality arrechera & pay the same.. bean burrito now 3.50 plus tax... for beans. The morning guy didn't put cheese in the burrito. I called him up & He gives me a attitude. "What do you want me to do about it?" Money back obviously, another burrito. He tells me come back so I can put cheese in it. Let me drive back for some cheese. Right. For a cold burrito & waste my gas & time... probably won't go back... it's loyal customers as myself that keep them in business... it was dead. Has no cars. Use to be bumper to bumper. Too expensive & rude. Remember loyal customers is who keeps the business open & pays the bills.. I choose not to contribute anymore... hope some of you can feel me this being one of my favorite spots...
Read moreJust you're typical mexican tacoshop, but I've been going here for 20+ years and it's still my favorite spot in south Chula. It was nice to see some renovation to the seating outside. They're 100% consistent, as in the food always has the same good flavor. No good days or bad days. Service does depend on how busy they are and who is at the window. If they're busy you'll feel rushed, but that's the price you pay for good food served up quickly when theres 8 cars lined up and 3 people at the window. Happy to see they're still around, still doing the same thing, and keeping a good shop open in Chula when so many have been closing down lately. Try the rolled tacos, the super quesadilla or one of their burritos, you'll be hard pressed to find something wrong with it. If your looking for "healthy" look elsewhere, your at the wrong spot. Then again, I dont know any one who goes to a taco shop looking for low cal, gluten free, etc. You can find a boring burrito...
Read moreI have eaten many different items from their menu and every one has been great. But I often get a cheeseburger. I know, "but they're a taco shop!" There's just something about a good no fuss cheeseburger that makes me 😊. You will too if you get it from Los Taquitos.
Edit 11/26/22: Had the Grand Plate of 3 rolled tacos smothered in salsa ranchero with rice and beans. If I were on that Food Network show Best Thing I Ever Ate for a combination plate edition this would be it. They cook the rolled tacos a little bit longer to keep them from getting soggy under all that salsa. It is for this reason that if you have sensitive teeth this probably isn't the dish for you. But if you can eat it, please do. You stomach...
