Poor service from the wait staff. Rude and VERY inattentive. We were pretty much ignored entirely unless we flagged them down. They seemed put out by actually doing the job that they're paid for. The floor was very sticky as was one of our chairs. The horchata and tea were really tasty but nothing else. The salsa was watery and very bland - no spice, no flavor. The kids chicken nuggets were mushy and the underside was wet and soggy like they were just tossed in the microwave. The other entrees were decent sized but just utterly devoid of flavor. My order came out incorrect and the server tried to make it my fault somehow. She re-read what she had written down earlier and saw that I was correct and begrudgingly took the food back. What came back out was correct but sloppily thrown on the plate and was falling apart. Very unappealing and unappetizing. We dined inside but were bombarded by flies once the food was brought out. Checked out the restaurant because I had a coupon and the waitress/hostess was very nice when we walked through the door but as soon a she saw the coupon she stated: "oh you have a coupon!" And immediately started being rude. Then the food was no good. My friend liked his tacos but my tamal and enchilada combination plate were not good at all; the rice was burnt and hardened in both of our plates. The sauce on the enchilada tasted like it came straight from a can and warmed up in the microwave. The tamal was the worse thing with the enchilada sauce all over it and crumbling like it had been previously frozen as just microwaved and with no taste or smoothness.

The salsa and chips were disgusting. Definitely not authentic.

This place is awesome. By far my favorite place to go when I want to eat Mexican food but not cook it myself. Being Hispanic and coming from a border town in Texas, it is always very disappointing to go out and enjoy a good mexican meal. That was until I found this place, the ladies there are awesome, very friendly, the atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. I don't always write reviews because they'd all be pretty bad but this place definitely has my business until I no longer live here. Even the owner is very nice, I've seen him in there a few times.
