Very rude customer service are waiter was very rude and disrespectful and took his time to take our order. Yes I did ask him to give me a second but when I was ready I signal him twice and he still didn’t come and proceeded to talk to his coworker and laugh thinking it was a joke and I’m Mexican American. He didn’t know any English I’m pretty sure he don’t even have his papers because if he did he would have known that customer service is very important and respecting other people especially when it was mine and my wife’s first time there and your working at a restaurant. But other then that the food was amazing but my wife sadly didn’t like her (Cafe De Olla) tasted like it’s been sitting there for a while (a couple of hours) and her soup she didn’t like of chanpana soup. But other then that it was okay thankyou and may god truly bless you guys good was okay it’s just the service need to know how to professionally work because we not back home . I personally wouldn’t Recommend this place but maybe the other 2 locations they have in San Diego . Also he kept messing up my order . He did it 3 times 🙏🏽 but very good to talk perfect Spanish the whole time huh sad🤦🏽♂️👌🏾💯 Need to be more...
Read moreI went here for the menudo. Bottom line up front, it's worth a try. Specifically, this menudo gets 3 and one half stars on a scale of 1-5, with 5 stars being great.
The caldo gets 3.5 stars. It was light colored, but more in the middle range. I like my menudo spicy and this one had a light, mild caldo. That's typical for restaurants, not everyone likes the spice. They did have two very tasty kinds of salsa to compensate; one was a delicious habanero and the other a thick mild red chili salsa. Might need salt for most folks, but again, they are preparing it for a general crowd and not everyone likes all that salt.
The tortillas (4 stars) were large, homemade, yellow corn. I prefer white corn tortillas, but these had a really nice corn flavor and were large and "meaty"/dense (in a good way).
They provided plenty of condiments: limes, onion, cilantro, red pepper flakes, Mexican oregano, salt, habanero and red chili salsa.
The service was 5...
Read moreI came here to eat with my sister in law. Her and my dad had good reviews at this specific location. So we went and oh man was it a disappointment! We got sat at the table and no silverware was placed on the table nor did anyone ask for our drink order until the waiter finally came over. I was ordering my food 1 taco de birria y 1 de carnitas con todo and the server says “no” I was shocked at his response. Instead of saying our tacos come plain you can add everything yourself I got a straight no. Which I thought was rude. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. He never checked on us after we got our food. I asked for water and it was faucet water, not filtered water just straight out of the faucet. My stomach hurt immediately after taking a sip. It...
