Papagayos Grill and Cantina — Restaurant in Chula Vista

This place sucks, the moment I walked inn the staff looked at Me weird, I ordered a beer & sat down by myself meanwhile I was getting dirty looks from security for sitting alone drinking a beer? Makes no sense, younger security guy thought he was tuff or something just staring at me from the back like I couldn't see him staring at me and my phone with the corner of my eyes just waiting to try to tell me something 1st he started with the coming to my table in a rude manner throwing the shifter card paper at my table letting me know to put my beer there like it matters, I didn't say anything but it was kind of like Okay? Anyways I ordered 2 more drinks the server (mind you can't get them to come and take down my other drink) by the 3rd drink which is all I had 3 drinks the girl come back and tells me if I don't have another form of payment that my card isn't going thru but that it's not my card that it's there machine, when mind you the other 2 times previous it worked perfectly but since it was last call she wanted a cash tip or something so told me that anyways I gave her a 20 nd told her to keep the change, anyway as I'm leaving about to exit I tell younger security have a good night and as I'm walking out he comes jetting out in an aggressive way almost screaming that I didn't pay, I turn around thinking they are playing and he tells the other security to "grab him" while he goes inside to check, he comes out still accusing me saying I didn't pay, I'm telling them I did which I did and he's being aggressive according to him telling me I haven't payed I go inside and tell the server girl "ey he's saying I didn't pay" to where she looked more shocked that I was there telling her that then she looked like she cared to help me clear my name anyway I turn around and say you see I did pay to where they wanted to emberess me infront of everyone being loud inside the restaurant saying I didn't pay, pff yeah right the security boy isn't even a real security guard he's clearly related to the owner because he rendered to them as " my aunt" pfff get some REAL Security Guards that know what there doing and not just insinuating and trying to make paying customers dumb F this cheap ass place, it's tiny too and I didn't know I was at a ghetto gang bar or something for them to try to treat...

I always come to this place and bring them customers; probably like 16 people everytime I come here. Just yesterday we got treated so rude & badly and it was my mom's bday. I wanted to celebrate there with all her friends a long and make it special for her however we got a server, she has blonde hair and always a pony tail "working there over 11 years" she was so rude and disrespectful to all of us. Everytime she would come to attend us her face was all AMARGADAAA and she would lag to bring us food, beverages, my mom's cake etc....it's so sad to see that shes still working here and imagine to how many other customers she made them feel bad as well. She doesn't deserve working here. Terrible place in general. Me and my people can go somewhere else better than this place. And people one last thing!!! Check the prices on the check and make sure everything is correct! They tend to charge you the double for everything. Check the prices on the menu and double check because they think they are...

Been going to here for years. Was really looking for to Shrimp Soup, especially since I had it over the weekend, and it was really good. Tonight, the taste was different, too tomato-ie. The broth tasted like a hot shrimp cocktail. As such, ask for a different soup, since I figured another of same would be from same batch. So Order albondigas. However, it was no better, it literally was made from same broth, just with now with albondigas instead of shrimp. It would not be surprise if they took my original soup, and just replaced shrimp with abondigas…really disappointing. Sad part was Manager was present, and not once offered any apologies. Guess customers are always wrong at this...
