I've been visiting and studying in this particular location for the past four years. Guess what? The service is crap, the employees are rude, and bathrooms are typically out of toilet paper and toilet seat covers. Oh, one of the bathrooms is constantly closed for whatever reason.
I'm not saying that every single time I've been here it has been a poor experience. I also do not hold high standards for any Starbucks cafe. I go there, buy my food and drink and study from morning til evening. Every Starbucks is the same. I get that.
But, THIS Starbucks almost always leaves me ticked off! They play the music like this is a club instead of a coffee shop. Forget concentrating on work, you can barely have a conversation without yelling. Music is great, I totally dig the jams in a cafe, but come on, I don't want to struggle to hear someone speaking to me. There have been occasions where I (politely) ask for them to turn down the volume, and it happens, but then someone ends up turning it up... What. The. Eff.
Whether or not the store has a flurry of customers, the employees have some sort of attitude... There are a few employees who are professional and affable, but I've had too many interactions with employees with poor attitudes...
One more thing, and this one is what bothers me the most: they start closing up when it isn't even 10:30pm, yet. The lobby closes at 11:00pm. It's maybe, 10:15, 10:20pm, and already they're taking the food items out of the display case and bringing in the chairs from outside. I totally understand wanting to clean up early cause they wanna go home. The closer it gets to leave, the slower the time passes, and you just want to go home! Of course... but you know what? Don't make the customers feel like they're being kicked out when it isn't even ten minutes until closing time.
I've studied in many Starbucks cafes from and in between Escondido and San Ysidro. This is seriously one of the worst locations. I live in Chula Vista and this is the only one whose lobby stays open the latest (closes at 11:00pm) in my area.
I need to contact the district manager or...
Read moreI go in to buy my coffee and ask, âis there a key or code to the restroomâ as I am preparing to pay. Thatâs when I find that this location no longer allows customers to use the restroom.
As a woman, being treated by another woman in a way that restricts my access to a bathroom - a human need, particularly when drinking coffee - it hurts. We NEED access to restrooms as women, we risk infections when holding it.
However, though I didnât mention it to the woman who quickly turned her back and shunned me with an energy that was palpable as I said, ânever mind on the coffee,â I have specific circumstances that make my access to bathroom especially important - and on this day, I was using my free will to go for an extremely long walk.
I enjoy extremely long walks because I enjoy using my legs since Iâve had MS for almost twenty years. For well over a decade, Iâve had an extremely poor bladder. She couldnât see that on me. She just saw another woman going for a walk and getting a coffee - and yet she denied me a human need. Human to human - I worked at a coffee shop for years and never denied anyone a bathroom even when my boss told me to, because I have free will.
Itâs quite depressing because just about a thirty minute trip away from here, youâll be met with signs instructing people not to step in certain places because homeless frequently pee there.
I suppose Starbucks is contributing to infections all around. They just canât make enough money and honestly hire nasty humans who either need to work on using their free will or work on being better more...
Read moreI mobile order a simple iced coffee with pumpkin spice and half/half, I walk in to pick it up and as soon as I got the coffee I saw it was dark brown, I tasted and it taste like coffee water, I spoke to a guy at the register which I assumed was the shift supervisor I told him my coffee tasted horrible and he seem like he barely want it to help or service a customer he ask what was it and I show him the drink cause he didnât even want to pick up the cup didnât even say sorry or anything, he then said he will have them remake it I told him if he can redo ASAP as my drink was ready I was rushing to work, he did told a young girl doing the drinks to redo she did it again and when she call out my name to give it to me once again the coffee was dark brown only not a single hint of Orange color for the pumpkin spice I tasted it and once again it taste it horrible, she even ask if it was okay? And this point I just told her donât worry about it and I left. Never going back to this store horrible drinks and service, the Starbucks at the Chula Vista Mall is 100% way better in drinks and services, honestly the only reason I order here cause the aforementionedâs mobile order wasnât available, lesson learned leave a bit early to order where they do know how to do drinks especially simple and not complicated drinks to not deal with locations like these. Never going here again, even though is down the street from my place I rather drive far from my way to not come here. 0...
