We didn't get our drinks until after our food was served. We had to get up and walk to the counter to ask for a glass of water, before our food was served.
I got steak tacos, and the meat was very tender. Real potential for great tacos if they had better salsa and didn't try to fancy up the food or presentation of the food with little salsa trays. Just put the salsa in a squeeze bottle.
I'd say their Carne asada meat rivals some of the great tacos restaurant in Chicagoland.
In general, the food is decent. The salsa's were lacking in flavor and the salsa was served in a 3 section little serving plate with very little salsa.
I never understood trying to fancy up Mexican food. Mexican food is supposed to be simple and delicious, not pretentious.
My wife ordered the Pina colada (served in a fresh pineapple shell) when we arrived (before ordering food).
It was tasty, but it arrived when we were done eating and about to leave. I mean, why even serve it when you see we're done?
The horchata was the best I've ever had, and that's saying a lot because I've had horchata from many, many places over a few decades.
Upon paying, we had to wait in line. The cashier was taking an order, and the customers just took forever as they debated on what to order.
The cashier could have said, "Let me cash the other customers out while you decide. It was 3 people but just one order because they were ordering together. It wasn't like there was a line of 10 people. We had to wait 10 or 15 minutes, and it sucked!
When my wife and I walked in, we were the only customers in the restaurant, so why did the service suck?
For me, It's worth a 2nd try, but I don't have high hopes.
By all means, I encourage you to give this place a try and make your...

Read moreI had a great experience at this restaurant! I'm very indecisive about what to order when I go out to eat, but the waitress, Leslie, was patient and helpful with her suggestions! She recommended a handful of food choices, but I ultimately went with the Quesabirrias because they're what sounded the most appetizing to me. They did not disappoint to say the least! They were filling, but also very flavorful. I couldn't leave without also trying Leslie's dessert recommendation: the empanadas. I was not expecting to love them because I don't usually like desserts, but they were just the right amount of sweet. This place had great food and great service, I will definitely be dining here again...
