Pizza is a personal topic for many. Starting with the crust, the preference of many can be vastly different, even within the same family. Thick, thin, seasoned or unseasoned, just the foundation of the pizza alone can lead to contentious times in the closest of families.
Ramundos has a crust to their pies that is reminiscent of east coast crusts. Not super dense, a slight chew, but still hearty enough to stand up to a pile of toppings, the vessel these pizzas are built on stands tall against it’s local competitors.
Shen you move on to their sauce, Ramundo’s has found a perfect balance of that deliciously bright acidic bright tomato flavor with just a hint of sweetness and a note of heat on the back notes.
They choose the highest of quality for their toppings and have all of the usual suspects available to add to a pie. Our family favorite are UNCLE FRANK'S MARGHERITA and KING WORKS.
We are such HUGE fans of this place that we have invested in our own personal deliver bag to hold the pizzas warm on our drive home for those special occasions we want GOOD pizza for having friends over for s game night, or movie night on the couch with just the two of us.
I have even been know to stop by and buy a couple slices individually for lunch just because I get a craving for the best pizza you can find on the east side of the metro!
Their staff is always friendly, and willing to help you navigate the menu to decide what palate pleaser you are going to enjoy, the pizzas are hot, fresh, and tasty EVERYTIME. And the stores are always clean and inviting.
You can not go wrong adding Ramundos to your dining...
Read moreThis was my husband and I first time trying this restaurant and we were very excited by what we had read on reviews, we ask first what was there special gift!!!! And was told about them making their own sausage, meatballs, and sauce homemade and that their sauce is more spicey than sweet, then came the part of ordering and deciding what to order and how, we ordered a pick your toppings 16" with 4 toppings and it's a thin style crust but AMAZING and everything is so fresh, we did get a order of ramundough bites and they were by far the best the dough was absolutely DELICIOUS 😋 , our only complaint was our drinks came from the cooler and was not cold maybe we should have grabbed from the back and after ordering we realized they had fountain drinks with ice????? The menu is different than typical pizza places so it took a little longer to decide and the staff was wonderful with helping except for one who was a little less than socialable, friendly, or energetic let's say and well she is who kept helping us .....but over all GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICES,VERY CLEAN AND...
Read moreNot New York style pizza. Poorly executed, the flavor relies solely on overpowering garlic and salt. This could be a decent pizza, the crust is 6/10 (but definitely not "New York") the cheese is very good, and overall the ingredients are good quality. The problem in the complete over-reliance on garlic and salt, rather than knowledgeable spicing. Great atmosphere, clean, good staff, even a decent beer selection and a good, Italian, Chianti. We really wanted to like this pizza, but the flavor was like sucking on garlic cloves dipped in salt. Every other nuance of flavor was lost, the quality flavor of the cheese was overpowered and even the pepperoni flavor was just crushed by the overuse of garlic.
Divide the garlic by 10, and just put a salt shaker on the table, I'll add my own, if needed. Maybe up the basil and add a little rosemary. You're doing it all wrong for New York style pizza flavor.
We might go back to try another menu item, but the pizza is a fail, we won't be eating it again. Atmosphere, staff, cleanliness...
