**updating my original review from December ‘24. West Side management has reached out and shared that this previous manager is no longer working there. Our deposit was refunded and we all agreed communication could have been better. I appreciate their understanding and follow up. We enjoy the times we have had at the brewery and look forward to getting back again soon.

This one star is solely for the Management of West Side. I’ve been here more times than I can count, from random drop ins for a beer, organized network happy hours to birthday parties. My family invested in the original start up back in the day. They were one of my first places to check out when throwing my mom’s surprise 60th Birthday party. The booking process was fairly simple.. I would have appreciated more communication from management when booking but in today’s world I have very low expectations with customer service. Day of the party came and I booked 3 extra hours for time to set up and make sure the space was ready. I made sure to introduce myself to all the staff from the kitchen manager, bar tenders (they were good) and taproom manager. Everyone was aware I was the organizer of the event and to reach out to me during for anything. Party was great! My mom was surprised and it seemed like everyone was very comfortable in the two rooms we rented ($30/hr for 2 rooms from 4-11). I reached back out to the taproom manager for my $100 deposit back & received the unprofessional response attached. I did realize once we arrived at the party that my balloons had confetti inside of them which confetti is not permitted. Balloons are permitted though so unless we went around popping all of them there was no issue in my eyes. I did immediately asked for a broom so I could manage any mess during the party (which there wasn’t). I stayed after with my husband, mother (birthday girl), dad, and cousins to clean everything up spotless.

The second issue was around our guests eating food from the party next to us. This was one couple (65 years old) that got confused & didn’t realize this was not our party. We took over 80% of the party space so it wasn’t clear to them that there was even another party nearby not a part of us. The fact that no one from west side even brought this to my attention is ridiculous. I would have happily apologized to the other party and purchased food for them to make up for what had happened. From start to finish Colin at West Side has not been helpful and has been extremely rude. I feel like I need to blame the kitchen staff as well for not communicating at all.

Sadly I would not recommend West Side for any future events. They didn’t feel welcoming and seemed bothered by the 3 children there (out by 9PM) that were very well behaved & enjoying themselves.

The 30+ Cincinnati Firefighter brotherhood that attended is also disappointed to hear how this was handled and won’t be having any future...

They say this is a place of family gathering, I've been coming there off and on for years. I felt disrespected last night with a buddy of mine and my son and his friend. My son's 10 and so is his friend we came up about 9:00 to get a couple beers and some pizza . The minute I came in I think the guy's name was Jason told me specifically kids couldn't be there past 9:30. We sat down instantly ordered some pizza about 20 minutes into waiting for our food I walked outside for 2 minutes and he came out and acted like I abandoned my kids inside disrespected me in front of several people and then followed me inside mocking me. During all that he already had my food to go in boxes and during that time watched me order food went behind my back and got everything to go because he didn't want me sitting there any longer. There was also other kids in this building during this time and nothing was said to any of them. Mind you when I come up here I spend hundreds of dollars especially when I come up with groups of people. So long story short we left after he said more disrespectful stuff to me in front of people took our food by the time I got home everything was cold I was starving it was about 11:00 at night. I doubt I'll ever be coming back again after that I didn't appreciate it at all or how the guy handled it and how he...

I am a Westside Neighbor who has seen SEVERAL DOGS INSIDE & OUTSIDE of the this bar on more than one occasion RECENTLY. I came up after calling to check to see if it was OK to bring my 20lb pup up with me to pick up a carry out from Catch Fire. I was told it wasn't an issue. When I got there the first person I saw was having a fit because I had my pup. Meanwhile I had to crawl over at lest 7-10 under aged CHILDREN to even get inside the door. (I think your concentrating on the wrong thing here how about underage kids in a bar being more important than a pup being in a bar) Needless to say after I told him I was given the OK and have seen 1million dogs in here he said that the rules just changed I said within the last 20mins ????? Needless to say I won't ever recommend or eat there again!!! And why don't you clean up Ramper Room before you come for my pup again. Children shouldn't be...

I had a great time with friends, family and co-workers on a recent visit. The knotty bread, Nati Twist (with beer mustard), pizza (we had One Love) and s'mores dip were delicious! On tap, the favorite among my large group was the Blood Orange Common Ale, with POG (Passionfruit, Orange, Guave Hard Cider) a close second. Definitely try Linda's Fall in a Glass! Parking available in back or in a pay lot that's very close to the building. The building is accessible with long tables and benches and chairs that can be moved to sit comfortably. Having a large event? They have space! Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable. Tell them what you'd like to try and they'll recommend a drink you'll enjoy. I'll take better pictures next time, I was having too much fun and forgot to take them. 😃

We had a blast hanging out inside West Side Brewing with our dog. The brewery is huge with ample seating for large to small groups. We were quick to snag a couch in the back of the brewery. They do not offer a full food menu however they do offer some snacks to enjoy with their delicious beer. They offer all styles of beer plus wine, liquor, cider and non alcoholic drinks for non beer lovers. We ordered a flight of beer each. We loved each beer! We even purchased some beers to go. What a cool place. They even had a vendor selling dog treats. We will be back!
