California Burrito — Restaurant in Citrus Heights

This was my first time trying California Burrito. We went to the one on Lichen Dr. at about 10:00 pm. The food was great despite being no sour cream that we paid $7 for on 3 tacos. Also there was a leaf thing inside my taco. The customer service was terrible. I've never as a grown adult been talked to the way the women talked to me there. Both women had absolutely no manners or customer service. They never said please or thank you nothing. One girl rolled her eyes while giving me food and said nothing at all. She actually told me I need to shut up. I can't make this up. When I called the store after getting home and paying $7 for sour cream and not getting it she told me to shut up so she can explain herself. As she continued to explain the price difference of the sour cream being on the side. She didn't even listen to what my complaint was. She thought that I was complaining about the price when I was trying to tell her there was no sour cream that I paid for in my tacos. She told me to come in with pictures and my receipt for refund which I will. They will lose a lot of customers if that's how they treat their customers. I seriously pray her boss...

So, not sure if they just opened the day we went (8-30-2023) or what exactly but most of the customer facing employees did not seem to know what they were doing, the cooks apparently did which was good because the food was decent. There was a 'special' advertised out front on a sandwich board and I wish I would have taken a pic, because the lady behind me noticed that it was advertised at $8.99 but we were being charged $10.75, FFwd, she made a huge deal about it they scrambled to fix it and stop anyone else from getting it at the lower price. All CC payments could only be taken from the drive thru so counter customers had to watch a slightly disoriented worker walk away with their CC and it just seemed very disorganized. Only reason why I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food tasted good. The portions were terrible, they messed my order up, and when I nicely asked for a little extra meat she wanted to charge me $4.00 for that. I wish I could post a good review, but everything but the taste of the food was bad. I won't be giving them my business anymore because I don't like the way they did business. And the cherry on top, my active duty friend was with me and the girl that rang us up spoke perfectly good English until he asked if they have a military discount...

I never eat at McDonald's but I'd rather eat next door there...
