Rock Hard Burgers and Brew — Restaurant in Citrus Heights

I took my team here. Great place and we enjoyed our food. I had a burger and it was entirely delicious. Update: Went again and food went south.

Cons: Prices too high. I think, adjust a bit, and you may get more business.

Went here the other day for lunch, nobody in there, which is a bad sign.

I ordered the basic Rock Hard burger and it was not as good as last time which leads me to believe that consistency is not the focus here. Burger was not fresh, seemed partially microwaved, not enough seasoning, drab and tasteless. Ketchup was cheap ketchup, seemed can bought. Fries looked like onions rings, very Krispy outside, but soaked and soggy inside, meaning grease was not hot enough in the fryer. The other sauce I asked for on the side, it was a balsamic glaze sauce, but, way to vinegary. Thank God I asked for "On the side". My wife had the same burger and reported the same issue. Bland is the word here. Burger was 12.99, not bad but still overpriced for what you receive.

I will NOT be back. Too bad. I expect this place to be open maybe 3 years, then it will be...

Today was our first time trying this place. We were very excited and had high hopes. We love a great local spot. Unfortunately our order had a few issues. My daughter ordered the lemon pepper wings and tots. She mentioned that the wings were bland and she received fries instead of tots. The wings did look very good though, maybe they just needed seasoning. I ordered the buffalo wrap with fries. My son and I tried this little gem for the first time on Sunday. When we arrived we received a friendly greeting from both the server, and patrons at the bar. The menu has a nice variety of choices. My son had the peanut butter burger, which was cooked just as requested. He enjoyed it. I had the mushroom swiss burger. It was very good, with just the right amount of mushrooms. I also had the French Onion soup, which was good, but a touch too concentrated and salty for me. They offer a cash discount, which I appreciate. All in all a very positive experience and we are looking forward to trying...
