Ricky's Cuban Cafe — Restaurant in Citrus Park

Too bad I could not do zero stars. When in at11:50 am and ordered and paid for two devil crabs. I sat down and was waiting for them. While sitting there I noticed the people up front serving food, eating and drinking on the front line. No one washed their has as the served other guest. One of the girls dropped her towel on the floor, picked it back and cleaned a knife and wiped the sandwich board off. Again no one washing their hands. The lady cook from the back came out front with gloves on. She was touching her face. She goes to the back and does change her gloves or was her hands. The other guy cook, comes out with his apron on and a towel he’s using to clean. He then walks into the bathroom with his apron and towel hanging off his apron! He’s in there for a few minutes. Longer than you would be to just do number 1. He comes out (still with his apron and towel) and goes back into kitchen. Not washing his hands and keeping his apron and towel on. It’s been about 15 minutes now and my devil crabs are no rest. I’m glad, I just leave. Serious health code...

I often drive by the truck parked in the parking lot on Ehrlich advertising the restaurant and have often said I need to check this place out. Well, I finally did and I'm glad I did. Being born and raised in Miami, I crave good Cuban food. The Cafe con Leche is on point as well as the breakfast sandwich. I got Pollo asado for lunch to go to eat later that day and I hate to say I wasn't impressed, the plantains were overcooked and the rice was dry, the chicken however was moist and fell off the bone. Next time I intend to try the Cuban sandwich. The only other down side is they don't appear to have ac, so I have no intention of ever eating inside, it's bad enough standing there and waiting for the food. The women working behind the counter are very nice...

Today I stopped at Ricky's Cuban cafe in Tampa Florida and I absolutely loved it and thought I leave a some positive feedback for this cafe. I was headed back to New York after visiting some family in Florida and decided to go here for a coffee and a sandwich and I just wanted to say that the customer service was absolutely excellent the food and the coffee was delicious and I did it get the young lady's name but I believe to strengthen as wella and share customer service is phenomenal. Being that I work in the food industry and I've been at the center tree for a pretty long time now I support small local businesses and this is definitely a goat to place that I would recommend to anyone...
