I came here with my dad and nephew on a particularly busy seeming sunday morning. Judging from the banners on the wall, it may have been an anniversary for the restaurant.
Despite the rush, I was welcomed in by a very polite young gentleman at the front door and had my options for seating with my party explained. We chose to sit at the bar.
Right from the bat, the service staff was very attentive and engaging and really friendly folks all around. The dining area and kitchens appeared very clean and well maintained. I was helped by Maria, Candy, and Nina. Food was surprisingly fast coming out. I had the All Star Special with a choc chip waffle. Hashbrowns for fried to be crispy yet not burnt. My scrambled eggs were fluffy, yet not runny. The waffle was heavenly. The bacon was cooked to perfection. I did not catch the names of the cooks except for Marquis, who I believe was on the grill.
I've been a regular Waffle House customer since I was a kid. It's been a little sad to see that a lot of the locations near my home are switching to a to-go only business model. This location is the exact opposite, and embodies the Waffle House I remember and love.
Many thanks to the team who worked very hard during the rush, I'll definitely be making the drive to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen a hot minute since I ate in a waffle house. The wife won't eat there so we haven't been since I got married. So based in some fresh eyes and taste buds.
This WH is in a better location than others in terms of quality of neighborhood it's in. But there was still vomit in the parking lot so it was a standard WH experience lol. (I'm sure it's not an all the time thing).
Busy for a Tuesday afternoon! Almost full up.
Inside was clean, bathrooms were clean. Wait staff was A+ friendly and let me switch from the high top to a regular booth since I was with my kid in tow (once it got less busy and a low top opened up). She accidentally forgot my extra bacon buy gave it to me on the house to make up for it so I thought that was fair. (A rush of customers came in to be seated as I asked for it).
Food was good. Cooked how I remembered. Definitely tastes better than Cracker Barrell (which is too buttery). Got a standard waffle/eggs/bacon/hash browns/toast with coffee and OJ. Was able to split that meal with the little one for $13.75. A good value in today's world IMO.
Overall I was pleased with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed while being served at Waffle House Unit #2329. Our server Betty had her 3 small children seated in the restaurant under her own supervision as she was simultaneously working her shift. One child was an infant being taken care of by the āolderā two kids. Those kids being aged around 4 and 7 years old. She would go over and wipe the babies mouth of spit up and then go back into the Waffle House kitchen area touch many kitchen items and not wash her hands. Then she would serve customers their food and drinks. Not only was this more than poor supervision of small children, neglectful Iād say, but this was also a HUGE food health and safety violation. I completely understand mothers trying to make ends meet for their families. But atleast washing your hands everytime you go over and touch your children would have been a more careful consideration.
UPDATE** Corporate reached out to me the same day and said they will address the situation with this location. I appreciate their reaching out to rectify the situation in a timely manner and ensure other customers donāt go through...
