This place is being reported to the better business bureau and Albany city hall for discrimination. I don't have time for whatever that was the owner decided to do. I. That was my first and last time at this restaurant. I came to buy my close friend Chineese food for her birthday and I came in with the money for the order. Mind you I made my order she said it would be ready in 10 minutes and told me the price. I had to make a stop at a grocery store the I went to pick up the food. When I got there she told me she had not started making it yet and that I was late picking up my order. I asked her why not then she said I was very late almost an hour late she said picking up my order. I offered her the money she requested for the order she refused the money refused to take the order I asked why she said because I said a bad word. I asked specifically what bad word I said she gave no answer and called the police. I had my cell phone on me and since she was calling the police I figured I should call them as well. I stayed because I did nothing wrong. The police came they told me I can report this if I wish to the better business bureau or the Albany town hall but then they said its her business and that she does not have to give an explanation for why she does not want to serve me. The officers were polite but trivialized my issue. This is NOT acceptable. When I do business I do not do not behave this way and am not allowd to and this issue was NOT trivial to me so I will be reporting this on Monday as everyone likes to close on the weekend up here. She does not have to work in Albany or anywhere else if she does not want to run a professional busieness. P.S. I only put 1 star so the app would...
Read moreThis is my favorite takeout Chinese restaurant in Albany for the past 7 years. I’m sad that they no longer make moo shu and I’ve had to go to other restaurants to get it but none compare to amazing wok. My favorite dishes are House egg foo young, fried chicken wings, crab Rangoon, sesame chicken, chicken on a stick, Singapore rice noodles, & fried pork dumplings. You won’t be disappointed with any of these dishes. Enjoy!!
I could not figure out how to leave a new review so I’m just adding to this one. It is 6/29/25. I happened to be in the neighborhood so I stopped at the store to place an order. I normally always order online. When I got home my dish was not made the way I asked. So I called and got an answering service and they told me the manager would call me back. Two minutes later, I received the call from the restaurant and explain that my dish was made incorrectly. They not only made the dish the way I wanted, but also delivered it after the store hours. I was pretty surprised to see so many negative reviews regarding customer service at this store because again I had a wonderful experience as always with AW. They also let me keep the order that was a mistake. They’re still putting out the best Chinese food in the Albany area. Thank you...
Read moreI ordered from here many times. I had a few issues, but they were minor. I always spend over 50 bucks as I have a large family. Well you would think for a customer who spend alot of money, you could request that your chicken be cooked how you like it. I mean you're paying, you're eating it, why can't it be as you request? Well they brought me chicken that had SNOT looking slime inside. When I called to complain the Chinese lady Lin was very rude. I was a disgruntled customer and I stated I wanted my money back as it was not as I asked. She told me if I dont like it then it's my problem not her problem. I asked that it be overcooked because they have brought me slimey chicken before so I figure if they overcooked it it will be great..no. She told me she's not giving me my money back. Basically she doesn't care if you are dissatisfied. Basically she won't cook it to how you ask. They do what they want with your food and still expect you to pay. I have 3 kids. I cannot feed them undercooked chicken. I won't eat that. It's not right for them to do people like that. I'll be complaining to the appropriate state offices....
