The Breakfast Spot — Restaurant in City of Albany

Good Morning, Today was my second visit to the breakfast spot and unfortunately it will be my last. Two weeks ago I ordered fish and grits with eggs. I may have tried it again, it was descent. Today's french toast and pork sausage was inadequate to say the least. I paid eight dollar plus for three slices of white bread and one BarS or equally inferior brand smoked pork sausage. Now keep in mind I started to travel to the South Pearl Coffee Shop, but having recently relocated to the Breakfast Spot area, I decided to patronize my people. With that being said, this is one of the reasons our people do not maintain longevity in the restaurant business; OVER PRICING. I understand its a business and the object is to make money, but the object is also to establish and maintain clientele. Five dollars for three slices of white bread is ludicrous. You can purchase a loaf of bread; a dozen eggs; and a quart of milk for less than $5. As for a three dollar sausage; it could have at least been one of those gigantic Carolina Brand sausages since quality does not seem to be a major factor. Also advising the consumer the sausage is indeed smoked would have been note worthy customer service. I know I am only one customer, but I am a loyal customer so loosing my business will matter. I accidentally placed an online order to the wrong location (I’m in PA) & they gave my order to someone without confirmation. I understand I made a mistake ordering from the wrong location, but the female manager of this location LIED and said they don’t have a website to order from, they do. It’s processed through doordash, but for order assistance they tell you to call the store. It is not my responsibility to check the receipt/order confirmation before handing out an order. That’s why they give you an order confirmation. Ya’ll must have had the order ticket on the bag & someone read it and got my food. Or you handed out the wrong order. I am in PENNSYLVANIA & the manager refuses to process a refund. This is horrendous customer service. I’m truly embarrassed to have made this mistake & TRUST me I will tell everyone I know to AVOID this breakfast spot at all costs. The breakfast spot on central avenue in Albany N.Y. is hands down, the absolute best breakfast place in capital region! Ordered French Toast with side of Home fries and when I took the first bite I was risked away to my childhood when I use to eat in Lil breakfast spots while growing up. These places are few and far between and it surely is a diamond in the rough. Food is absolutely fantastic and delicious, staff is Curteous and prompt. And prices are stuck in the early eighties while giving you nice portion sizes. If your looking for phenomenal Food and that ol' coffee shop/diner feel while not trying to break the bank to do so then this is your place. ...
