Batavia's Original Pizzeria — Restaurant in City of Batavia

On Wednesday Aug 5th we waited 15 minutes after being seated before anyone came to take our beverage order and then we gave the waitress Amber S. The order for 2 ice tea and she said "and what do you want to eat" very abruptly. We order boneless wings in the meantime I finished my drink and placed it on the edge of the table the waitress walked by it several times looked right at the glass and kept on going finally 25 minutes later when she brought the wings she brought a pitcher of ice tea with her so obviously knew my glass was empty. While we were still eating the waitress brought a box for our wings and said here's the bill I will be back to get it. I told her we wanted to order more food and said "oh what do you want" I told her we wanted a small cheese and pepperoni pizza on regular crust with sweet sauce cut in triangles about 30 minutes later she shows up with a pizza in a box and the bill I told her the pizza is for here she said "oh I couldn't remember if you said it was to go, sorry so you want it on a serving tray" I said no leave it in the box but we need plates she said oh yeah and went to get the plates while she was gone I open the pizza box to find a cheese pizza on thin crust when she came back I said we ordered cheese and pepperoni she said " oh that was my fault I can bring you some pepperoni on the side" I told her no I want a new pizza. Needless to say this was a very unpleasant visit to Batavia's original and will think twice about...

Honestly not happy to write this review as we have eaten here for years and I like to support local businesses especially ones with gluten free options. But the last few times we have ordered the service has gotten consistently worse and then we ended up with food arriving 2-3 hours after being ordered without being warned it would take that long and the food being very cold and not appetizing at all. (cold and hard fries, cold soggy wings, cold soggy pizza or cold overcooked pizza, etc.) at one point we were given a credit because of these issues and when we tried ordering again the service was the same and the food was just as cold and disappointing. I hope that this is a phase and the restaurant goes back to normal eventually as I know times are hard, but I don't see us ordering from them again because we feel like we are throwing away our money since the food keeps being cold and not fresh and the customer service is unsatisfactory and not entirely truthful about expectations and arrival times. I wouldn't even mind waiting a long time for food sometimes if they were upfront about wait times and if the food arrived fresh and hot. But this is just not the case and they have lost us...

What a racket! We went today for the mother's day buffet. We had a reservation well before closing and didn't get seated for a while. I understand it was busy so we didn't mind but then the actual buffet itself was ridiculous! The salad was little bowls, pre dressed, about 1/4 of lettuce in each. There were NO desserts, none. I went up 4 times to check. There was literally NO sauce on the pasta and nothing on the Mac and cheese. It was truly unbelievable. I actually asked for a cup of sauce because I could not enjoy any of the pasta, completely flavorless. Then, they started breaking the buffet down at 7:45.. Even though they took reservations right up until 730. I understand things are different than they have been in the past but I've not felt this screwed over by a business in Batavia, ever. What a waste of money. Luckily, Dave's was open so we could go get dessert from from a place in town that gives you something with the money! Seriously disappointed and won't spend another...
