Kelly's Holland Inn — Restaurant in City of Batavia

My 1st time there was fantastic. It has a homey atmosphere, good music, sports on the tube and the drinks were cheapest I'd seen in town. However last night was a different experience. Needless to say if you are like me and happen to be a person of color I do not recommend you stop by Kelly's when the owner is there. You will be ignored and refused service unless you have a white friend demand your order be taken. Also expect the local traffic to be on the porch when your in the bar and in the bar when your on the porch. I really wanted to like this place but if the OWNER is more interested in serving people who look like him rather than take the money of ANY PAYING CUSTOMER REGARDLESS OF SKIN COLOR. I feel there is very little hope for this hometown bar and I unfortunately will not...

Its kind of a hole in the wall but staff and customers are friendly. Beers are very unexpensive. Its directly across the road from the ice rink. its an older bar. nothing fancy but not bad..it isn't full of smart mouth kids. UPDATE: They are now building a huge new apartment building right next to this bar. Probably low income and it will fill the bar with welfare riff raff. Seems like it should be good for business but I think it will bring crimke and hookers to Batavia.
