Experience: About 10-15 walk-in visits to order or pick up.
I just had a visit today and a really sweet girl with pretty red hair and braids somehow remembered that I left my portfolio there for a job interview like, two months ago - literally recognized me upon walking in! She gave me a great refresher recommendation, made it in under thirty seconds, and charged my phone for me. It was a very chill stop today. When it's not busy, they really take care of you. In my other visits, the employees seem to get on very nicely with the regulars and always look laid back despite the workload. They seem like great people, conversational, and down to earth from my experience - 5/5.
The shop is conveniently placed in front of the bus stop so when waiting to hitch a ride to the university I grab a drink and hang out. The five-dollar meal deal (medium coffee and two wake-up wraps for $5) has kept me coming everyday as of recent, it's a great deal.
Other than that, when I first started coming here, the food would taste very chemical-y to the point I stopped ordering any, but I noticed it's stopped recently. I'll update my review accordingly if it appears to be a permanent thing. Dunkin' food in general isn't necessarily five-stars obviously, but for Dunkin' food, they've been doing pretty well recently insofar that it's at least edible. I'd also be mindful in eating your food as soon as it's out of that oven because it can get rubbery and cold fairly quick (again, just a Dunkin' thing and something you need to just expect that with fast food, this isn't unique to this location). I've been having a good experience with the food recently - 4/5.
Atmosphere could use a lot of TLC, particularly during peak times. There's some tears in the couch cushions, flies, sometimes the cans are stocked full, wrappers on the floor, and things of the like. I'd keep in mind this is not the employee's fault, though (especially because they seem to always have their hands tied here). As someone who has worked in the industry, understaffing in service jobs is very real and common and creating a reasonable workload for employees and things like furniture repair is the kind of thing that falls on management to work out and does not mean "lazy staff." There's always a lot of homeless people and struggling addicts in the area, so immediately it isn't the best place to really be. I'd also factor in staff attitude to atmosphere too and they really uplift and have good vibes, so that definitely helps things a lot. - 3/5 (2/5 without the pleasant baristas).
TLDR? It's a run of the mill Dunkin' and the workers I've spoken to are kind and make it better. It can take a little longer in the mornings (not super long, like 5-10 minutes?) so, as always, plan accordingly and don't hinge on them being ready immediately if you've got placed to be (this is more of a life pro-tip). The food I've ordered is always correct and to standard (except the food in the past, but it seems to have been resolved). I would not recommend this as a place to hang out, eat, do work, etc., but if you just want some ordinary Dunkin' and want it in a reasonable amount of time, it's a solid place to visit, and you may have a very wholesome experience like I...
Read moreI have quite literally never made it out of this Dunkin Donuts in less than 15 minutes. It doesn't matter if you go into the store and order with a person. It doesn't matter if you're in the drive through. It doesn't matter if you order in advance and go through the drive-thru or go into The physical building. This is unarguably the worst Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to Anywhere. In America. Everyone has an attitude. Everyone treats you like you're the problem, and they literally have probably a 50 accuracy rate on orders. They're always out of basic things, And they work at the speed. Of an 80 year old blind woman trying to find a needle in a haystack.
I have never actively rooted for a location to close, but this one is so bad I would rather them just close. This is the most convenient one for me Yet. Instead, I go out of my way to go to different one, because this one is just so bad.
I was recently talking to a friend Who lives around the area Who, in very casual conversation, also mentioned that they agree. It is the worst Dunkin Donuts that they have ever been to. The fact that the reputation of this place is so bad Should be enough for...
Read moreIt amazes me that I somehow always can delude myself into thinking that maybe, just maybe, this time these people can provide decent service. Between awful drive thru lines and times and 50/50 chances of actually getting what you ordered (generous to even say 50/50), the fast food appeal of this specific location is lacking. Go inside you say? Avoid the lines? Sure, if you enjoy waiting at the counter for service while appx 6 adults run around in circles yelling out instructions to each other on how to best screw up your order. Let's be real, I'm getting a ham egg cheese bagel sandwich. I know it's going in the microwave, I'm ok with that. But when you go into this place, you might as well ask for some aspirin, or perhaps a gin and tonic to try to cope with the overwhelming feeling of complete anarchy you are subjected to. 1 star only because 0 isn't an option, and if they had a "jam your pencil into your ear and wait for the peaceful repose of the ethereal plain to take you away" option I would have...
