This is probably the worst food I have ever tasted. Lets start from what was good. The soup that came with my meal was good. The service was good, they tried to take care of you to the best of their ability with what they had. This is what caused them to have the 1 extra star...
The bad: decor. They have old half inflated balloons on the ceiling that look like they were there for a few months. The plants look like they don't get water regularly and some of the leaves are wilted or just dried out.
The terrible: Food. WHO COOKS FILET MIGNON WITH PENNE PASTA? I understand if you cook the filet separately and add it to pasta (even though I don't think it goes well with pasta, if I knew it came this way, I would have never ordered it, the waiter was not clear that it was filet pieces cooked in pasta. ) The filet pasta dish (I don't remember what they called it) was half full of oil. The mushrooms in it were very soggy. The filet tasted like it was frozen, over cooked and then heated up. This was the worst filet mignon I have ever tasted. If they would have just fried it in a pan as a whole piece from every side, the meat would have spoke of itself and it would have tasted better. The appetizer was ok. It was chicken kabob on a stick and peanut butter with chili sauce spread on the plate. This was the best tasting dish that I had it and it was mediocre at best. So maybe I order the wrong thing, but my wife ordered a lamb shank. It tasted better then my dish but not much better. It seems that it was also frozen before, cooked and then just heated up when we ordered it. It had a skin like texture on the outside. The lamb was not cooked the proper way. The worst part is that it charges like a high end restaurant in this area. The price is way over priced for what the food tastes like. I would rather go to number 5 and spend a little bit more money for way better food, or if you want to save money, stop by burger king and you will have a better meal and pay less. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. This must have been the worst food I have ever had in a restaurant, which is a shame, I really wanted to like it to have another nice place to visit in...

The cucumber Gimlett and blackberry mojitos were well executed. Delicious, refreshing, and fun.
Service staff were very polite and well timed.
Cream of mushroom: Creamy and light.
French onion: Broth, bread, cheese, and onion were enjoyed.
Salmon:
Grand Marinier orange sauce did not bolster the flavor profile of the salmon dish, it was completely overpowered. The whole plate swam in it almost. I barely tasted the cashews. The seasonal side was a second starch on top of garlic potatoes [also not a puree as listed on menu]. The dish was extraordinarily underwhelming, underbalanced, and did not demand it's price. It tasted like something I'd made at home, but wasn't proud of.
Scallops and Risotto:
The scallops were over cooked. I did not taste the mango coulis. The lump crab tasted like it was out of a can. The black Risotto was way too salty. After having eaten it I was left thinking, why sugar glass??
Dessert:
Breadpudding: Though I've not been in a long time. This reminded me of a dessert ordered at maybe an Applebee's or TGIF. It was overly sweet, with zero complexity or elevation. I could've microwaved this from a freezer a week later and lost none of the flavor profile. Sugar, sugar, sugar.
Creme brulee: The texture was grainy. It was way too sweet and the ratio of custard to crisp melted sugar was way off with the dish being too deep....
Read moreIt’s Restaurant Week! So my hubby asked me out for a Date Night to try PS. We hadn’t been to PS in awhile so called ahead for a reservation. They said they were busy, but by 7 PM would free up a bit. We were interested in sitting at the bar. When we arrived, the bar was empty, so we grabbed a couple of sets and reviewed the drink & food menus.
We settled on a rye manhattan and an old fashioned. Both were delicious, but were wishing that the options for bourbon & rye were a little more expansive.
There was a limited menu for Restaurant week, but nice options. I chose the seared tuna appetizer with an Asian cabbage salad and a red curry shrimp with cellophane noodles for my main. My hubby opted for the chicken satay appy and Greek tenderloin tips with smashed potatoes and broccolini for his main. Both were beautifully prepared and delicious!
Dessert choices included the ‘ush- creme brulee, a chocolate pot de creme and an AMAZING bread pudding with a Carmel bourbon sauce & whipped cream. We opted for the creme brulee (never disappoints) and the bread pudding.
Super happy with these great options for $35/ person. Highly...
