Scoopy Dooby's Ice Cream — Restaurant in City of Binghamton

My son and I went to try this place for the first time on Tuesday, 8/27/24. We arrived at 8:45 p.m. and the 3 girls working said they were closed because there were orders they need to make. I said that the website says the establishment is supposed to be open until 9:00. She said very rudely, well we are closed. They proceeded to turn away several other customers after us. I love trying new ice cream places in the area and you could have possibly made some new regular customers, but now it is likely I will not return and will share my experience with others. It is SO incredibly loud inside. Between the screaming blender and music- it's impossible to hear the workers and the people with me. It's basically an echo chamber bc there's nothing to soften the sound on the walls. It's even worse when there are other people inside, and it's usually busy. It's so hard to have a conversation or enjoy my ice cream. It actually hurts my ears.

The ice cream is pretty standard, but I really like the milkshakes. Their pricing isn't horrible and I love how convenient their location is. I would give them a 4th star if their indoor seating wasn't deafening. Hopefully, this changes soon and I can...

I hope this review helps them get some more business because this place has a lot of things other ice cream places don't, yet never seems to be busy when I pass it. They have tons of parking and outdoor seating, which is nice and not something most small ice cream stands have. The only thing those other places have on this one is extensive flavor options, but in my experience the longer the flavor choice list the longer you stand there overwhelmed until you pick one of the same two or three standbys you always go...
