Arctic Bites — Restaurant in City of Cortland

Another sushi option is a very welcome addition to Cortland, so /I'm glad this went in.

This place has a very extensive menu, all reasonably priced, which includes some basic but good sushi options. You're not going to find much raw fish beyond your basic salmon and tuna options, but it's all well prepared and tasty.

In addition to sushi they do ramen bowls, hibachi, Chinese, wings, Poke Bowls, and some dessert options like thai ice cream. So really all over the place, but I haven't had anything bad.

FWIW, Arctic Bites seems to be a regional CNY/WNY chain or maybe a franchise; they have a few other locations, at least in Jamestown, Olean, Fredonia and a few other upstate cities that I could find. We have been here five times since they opened.the owner is very friendly and the food we ordered each time was very tasty. In response to the recent poisoning rumors, the owner also explained to us that it was a malicious slander from the competitor of the same type of restaurant, and she also said that the staff from the Department of Health had just come to inspect the restaurant two days ago, and they gave a report that all the ingredients of the restaurant were safe and hygienically qualified. Unfortunately this place sends coupons out that aren’t truly valid for what they say they are.

I got this coupon in the mail for one bubble tea - as you see that’s all it says. No minimum required, no purchase required.

When I got there, they told me I had to pay $20 to get the free bubble tea! I had them call the manager and he tried saying ok just spend $15. Waste of time and I’m not sure if it’s legal to send these coupons and try to do a bait and switch like this.

I’ve gone to this place at least once a week since they opened but I won’t be going back due to these dishonest business practices. Next time clarify...
