First, you need to know Pudgies is a franchise, so not all serve identical food. Unlike McDonalds, which is also a franchise, you'll notice differences between the various Pudgies. The rating I am giving should only be applied to this location. Pizza: Fresh, thick, and soft dough is light and crispy; one of the strengths of this location. The sauce is often thick and liberally applied. If you're not a big fan of sauce dominating the taste, consider asking for light sauce. The cheese is standard pizza cheese, perhaps a little light relative to standard. Overall, it is well-balanced, usually cooked properly and better than average for the area. Toppings are expensive so watch out. Wings: Not my favorite, but you may disagree. I prefer a wing that has a butter/hotsauce/vinegar base. The sauce for these wings is butter/hot sauce/brown sugar, so it's sweet. Also, be careful if you have some kind of glucose intolerance (diabetes). They are worth a try, but I prefer a tangy wing to a sweet wing. As an example of differences between locations, the Corning location has a very different wing sauce, which I love. Very tangy! I've asked and in Corning they use a 1:1 ratio of liquid margarine and Louisiana hotsauce. Sides: I really like the pizza frette (aka fried dough). It's basically a slice of pizza dough, cut into a pizza slice shape, with powdered sugar on the side. They also have the standard pizza shop fare: mozzarella sticks, various other fried things, and salads, which are about average for these types of places. Experience/Cost/Delivery: This is a franchise, but still basically a mom and pop shop. It's cheap, but won't break the bank either. Delivery is fast, accurate, and the food arrives warm, if not hot. They have a mobile and web-based app for ordering, but it is not worth using. It crashes constantly, and most frustratingly, near the end of the order process forcing you to start over. Call on the phone or use the website. This location also has a convenient drive-through pick up window for online and telephone orders. Overall the experience dining in, take out, or delivery is in the top three of the area. Definitely worth a try, I suspect you'll add them to your dinner rotation! And don't forget to try the other locations (Corning in particular).

Edit: went back for refund and employee was unprofessional, lied, and again very rude, and asks if we “want him to fire the driver” what is going on here!!? Buyers beware. EXTREMELY rude management from when we placed the order until it arrived and I called back. My friend placed the order and changed the name from her name to mine because she was paying with my card. He huffed on the phone and said “let me start all over”. I woke up from surgery craving a simple pudgie burger (8 mins from the hospital.) Called at 3:16pm for a single hot sub and waited over a hour. Person who took the order stated it would be 40 (FORTY) minutes to deliver and was rude. An hour later, we call back because they said they would call when they got to the hospital. Never called. I paid with credit card and NEVER signed for it when it showed up an hour later and COLD. Management was not compassionate whatsoever and said “future reference it’s 45 to an hour” and disregarded his employee assured us it would be 40 minutes. That is not my fault for their miscommunication. I am the customer. Please treat the customers the way you’d want to be taken care of when a problem arises because this isnt it how you handle customers or complaints. I’ve worked for fast food and restaurants so I’m blown away by the way this situation was handled. If you care about your food and money, take my word and spend your money on food somewhere that you will enjoy and people who actually appreciate it!

Oh wow! When it comes to pizza places in Elmira, our hands down favorite is always a toss between dominos and papa johns but, ever since we stumbled upon this amazing little place our decision is forever Pudgies. Even after a tiring day of home renovations nothing can take away the sheer delight of their delicious pizza, loaded with a generous amount of mouth watering sauce! Big shoutout to our beloved driver Jim, who went out of his way and gifted my little girl 5 bucks it ended up giving her the perfect birthday surprise. We also love their buffalo wings. Perfect amount of sauce and just the right degree of crispness, please put this place in your Elmira bucket list despite some minor delays with delivery once or twice, ample amounts of flavorful, non sloppy salads balancing out some of the sinful indulgence ;))But, here's the thing--their sandwich filled with Italian sausage transports me straight back to...
