Second Editions Bookshop — Local services in City of Elmira

Visited in April 2024 for the first time, from Western Canada (Vancouver BC) to be exact. Anyway I came across this place online, prior to my visit to Elmira and I was so excited and eagered to check this local bookstore but was disappointed as soon as we stepped in, because the lady behind the desk seemed bothered and unwilling to help my partner and I. She was very nice to this couple which were the only customers there but when it came to us she was unfriendly and irritated that she had to help us, to the point where I hesitated to ask for her assistance. Good service

I received my book in a timely manner, and the book was in very good condition. I was kept up to date with the progress of my order and I would recommend ordering from Second Editions Bookshop to anyone. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Amazon would not let me post this "as written." I read over their guidelines, and could not see where I had crossed any of them. I would hate it if I wasn't allowed to let them know how happy I was with the service and my book. Like I said, I would definitely use them again...

The perfect used book store. You could dig for hours and keep finding hidden gems here. The shelves are literally overflowing with books, and it doesn't feel like the inventory has been picked clean of good finds like many other used bookstores do. Prices are excellent. Great selection of paperbacks and hardcovers ranging from the classics to nonfiction to modern thrillers to fantasy and sci-fi. I walked out happily after my first visit with a beautiful Lord of the Rings box set from the 70's and a perfectly time-worn copy of Catch-22, and I can't wait to go back for...
