Lorenzo's — Restaurant in City of Glen Cove

ONG, I just seem to have the luck to just find these restaurants that are just amazing. I have a show performance tonight at My Father’s Place in Glen Cove so this is why I am in the area. I need a place to get something before the show and I happened to come advertise Lorenzo’s Italian restaurant and pizzeria.

When you walk in, to know right away that you are in the right place just by the smell of sauce and pizza in the air. The restaurant is a very pleasant place to be with some wonderful decorations, a feel of being in Italy!! I was then more amazed when I saw their dishes, it brought back to the 70’s when I worked at Lenny’s Clam Bar in Smithtown. Those white dishes with the green stripes along the perimeter! Many memories.

Victoria my waitress was very nice and her service Amazing. I started with the baked clams that were just amazing. Whole clams (7) with plenty of that juice to dunk your warm and toasty Italian bread in! No diet tonight!

For dinner, I went with my usual favorite, the break pan with a side of linguini. The portion was very generous, hot and delicious!

Everything about this place is amazing! They even have a covered patio that you could sit at outside.

Takes over an hour for delivery. Pizza was cold. Asked for toppings on half a pizza, they sent two pizzas . One plain and the other with the topping which should have been on half the one pie. Charged $54 for two pies. Don't blame the driver. The owner is extremely rude. Their pizza may be good but they can't handle a simple order like half toppings on one pie. Beware of this place and be prepared for a LONG WAIT FOR DELIVERY (the establishment is less than 1 mile away from me). Edit: Regarding the second pie with the toppings on it. Mushrooms, onions and peppers were thrown onto an already cooked pie. All toppings were RAW. Raw onions, raw peppers and raw mushrooms. NOT cooked with the pie in the oven.

Avoid this place at all costs. Even Dominoes is better...

Be careful if you eat here or get takeout! Twice already I have been over charged! Once when I ate in. I was told they would take it off my next order, but they never did! Second time was a takeout I ordered off the website which the prices were off like 5.00 on one item. I understand if prices go up, but don’t tell me you aren’t responsible for what prices are on your website! Besides price discrepancy I was still charged 3.00 over charge he said he would have the driver come back to credit my card. But he never showed! So I will not be returning to Lorenzos! Don’t forget to check your receipt which you also have to ask for because they don’t give you one automatically! Words to...
