Where to begin! The Park Theatre served as our caterer for our Saratoga Springs wedding at the Canfield Casino, and we haven't stopped hearing reviews from guests about how amazing the event and food were!
The food itself was incredibly prepared and presented, and the offerings were extremely unique which made for a very memorable meal for all that attended. We were able to work with the staff to create a menu that was unique to our tastes and desires, that was also well balanced for specialty diets and food restrictions. We heard from guests about their surprise as they discovered that the passed h'ordeuvres and stationary appetizers during cocktail hour was just the beginning of a well-fed evening. Following a selection of two different dinner stations, guests described their desire to keep eating if it weren't for their complete fullness! Dishes were beautifully assembled, and offered complementary side dishes to make for a complete meal for royalty.
Aside from the amazing food, the staff was extremely attentive and well prepared for the evening; between drink refills and food service, they made sure each guest was taken care of. We (the bride and groom) felt particularly well looked after, as we hardly ever needed to ask for anything- it's like the staff read our minds! We heard from guests that there was hardly ever a wait for anything (food or drinks), and dishes were cleared once a guest finished their meal.
The bar tending itself was something that wowed the guests and bride and groom throughout the evening. In preparation for the big day, we were able to work with the bartender, Ethan, to create two specialty cocktails for the evening, both of which illustrated mastery of the craft. Guests were blown away!
To top it all off, the evening felt so smooth and well-managed following the direction of the event manager, Megan. She was always on top of the details and was communicative when looking through the logistics of the evening. Her eye for making a space inviting and ensuring that a schedule was followed made for an unforgettable day. Whether there was any hiccup, we wouldn't know because she was able to problem solve with ease and made sure we were happy.
In all, we highly recommend hiring the Park Theater to cater your next big event or wedding. They were the most talk about aspect among our guests and ensured that our day was...
Read moreFrom the beginning, Megan and the entire staff at The Park Theater were incredible to work with. Even before we decided to have our wedding at The Park Theater, we were always a fan of Doc's Restaurant. We set up a meeting with Megan to discuss the possibility of having our wedding there. She set up the room with various table settings for weddings as well as an elaborate spread of foods for us to try. We didn't expect any of this and were blown away by this kind gesture (this really helped someone like myself who does well with visuals haha). Leading up to our wedding, Megan was always in close communication and was quick to respond to any questions, regardless of how small and ridiculous the subject was. Fast forward to the day of our rehearsal dinner and wedding and I could not think of a better experience. She knows what to do and is excellent at her job. She has an effortless way of putting an extremely nervous bride to be at ease. To say everything went better than planned is an understatement. Megan and every single staff member were incredibly kind and attentive. My guests even commented on how wonderful everyone and everything was. Looking back, there is not one thing I would have done differently to make my wedding perfect; that is a HUGE thanks to everyone at The Park Theater for that. I cannot stop smiling (and probably never will) thinking back to our wedding day. I am so grateful and lucky we decided to choose The Park Theater and Doc's Restaurant for this important time...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I decided to go to church on a Saturday afternoon and then planned on an early dinner. Because it was a very mild January day, I thought we would walk over to look at the menu at Docs. It was actually recommended to us by a patron at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Clifton Park. I was hungry and began losing the decision making ability to choose a place to eat. The menu at Docs looked good but I didn't want to take a chance on a new restaurant, considering how hungry I was. I was banking on a reliable place that I know would be great. I (obviously at this point) decided to take a chance on Docs, and I'm so glad I did!
Loved the decor; the waiter was friendly and prompt, and the seats were very comfortable. It was a tad dim for my taste but a relaxed atmosphere and the music overhead was great. Now to the really important stuff, the food! Fantastic! Excellent flavor profiles, good portions, and moderate prices. Everything was just perfectly done. Nothing was too sweet or too salty. No ingredient in a dish stood out over the others. Everything was fresh, and perfectly balanced. The presentation was terrific and there was great attention to detail with every course.
I'm choosing not to critique everything we had specifically because all of it was great. I think it really will depend on what you're in the mood for. All I can say is that each dish was unique, flavorful, fresh, and well done. I will definitely return to try some of the other items on...
