Extremely disappointing experience. I drove 4.5 hours for a concert at the arena and after a long drive and a cold wait outside, I went through security for one of the most embarrassing scenes of my life. Security does not allow you to bring in ANY medication at all. I have a number of medical conditions, and always have my medication with me in case I need them. Security interrogated me about it - even the Tylenol I had in my bag was unacceptable - but what was even worse was the prescription medication I had in my bag WITH MY NAME ON IT - I was told I could not have them on me at all. After fighting a bit since I do have medical conditions and the name on the bottle matched the ID I showed them, they called someone down who needed to inspect my bag further and question me. Mortifying. They refused to give in and I had to leave to put my medication in the car. After looking online at the arena's policy, prescription medication with name matching the prescribee is allowed in the arena. It's so disappointing to know this entire ordeal could have been avoided if security knew the policy. It was embarrassing and extremely frustrating, and if bands I like come back to the arena, I'll be sure to avoid...
Read moreI attended the Trey Anastasio concert last evening. While I enjoyed the show and appreciate the venue Cool Insuring area had to offer, I was very disappointed with concessions availability. Just prior to the Trey Band coming on I waited on a long line at a cash only vendor just to be informed they do not have water, only beer. I moved to another, longer line, waiting 20 minutes there to reach the cashier who then informed me there was no water in the entire building. The atmosphere was especially warm and I am 27 weeks pregnant. It is very important to be able to access acceptable water, not from a shared water fountain or bathroom sink. Hydration is essential during such events, especially if you force people to pour out their water at entry. This issue was unnecessary and potentially unsafe, especially for myself. Please be more prepared...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill since the new owners took over. We went to the pre season night of the hockey game. Security at all doors. Checking bags ect.. They checked my purse. I had a water bottle and rolls and some candy in my purse. They won’t let you bring any of that in anymore. They throw it out on you. The candy was for my 5 year old and the lady took it and said we can’t have it in there (all it was was some air heads.) So she made my 5 year old cry hysterically. This place is a joke now. Can’t bring in any candy? Really? So then after about 10 mins of him crying she finally gave it back to him. So we go in get seats and there are 2 security people at each letter staring at you. The civic center used to be a good place before it was cool insuring arena. Won’t be back. Not even for hockey that I...
