Focus BBQ — Restaurant in City of Industry

3.75 star overall. 2nd take-out visit two days in a row. Surprised at the portion and good taste given the overall 3 star review. My family was pretty satisfied with the taste and would return. Tastes authentic and do-able.

4.5 star food. On Both take out orders, the skewers felt a little cooler than I was expecting to be fresh off the grill. But the taste is good and portion is much larger than Little Skewers, so this alone makes it feel more worth it to return.

3 star service. Service was average typical China-Chinese, non-American style. Waited quite a long time to order take out as they seems to be busy & short staffed Friday night around 10 pm. Ordered again next evening on Saturday around 5:30 pm and barely any customers at that time so the order was fast.

3 star other. Friday night, the restaurant dining area and the whole plaza, in general, smells like cigarettes. So many smokers seem to hang out in that plaza at that time. Not a pleasant smell walking around. The restaurant also habitually leaves cardboard containers and boxes out on the walkway (right outside the restaurant kitchen door) which makes the restaurant look very China-ghetto. I wish they didn’t do that. Is that even legal to be leaving trash out on the walkway like that? So the standard of cleanliness and organization brings down the restaurant a notch.

I wish there were negative stars for this place, because it truly deserves it. My experience at this BBQ restaurant was beyond disappointing. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the service was going to be a disaster. The floor was so wet that I almost slipped, a serious safety hazard that should have been addressed immediately.

To make matters worse, not a single staff member bothered to ask if we wanted water or drinks when we arrived. The menu was grimy and clearly had leftovers from previous diners. ITS DISGUSTING!

But the real kicker was the disrespect we faced after ordering. The staff seemed utterly indifferent, barely acknowledging our presence. They practically threw our food onto the table without so much as a smile or a polite word. It was as if they couldn't wait to get rid of us.

And if all that wasn't bad enough, they even managed to mess up our order. It's astounding how a restaurant can get everything wrong, from the basic courtesies to the actual food itself.

Save yourself the frustration and AVOID this place at all costs. With service this terrible, it's a wonder they're still in...

Had always wanted to try this but never did since I usually came to this plaza for dessert and ended up smelling the bbq aroma.

Finally did and was absolutely horrified by what I got. After coming from eating different skewer places in the past month, this place by far earns the place of never again.

Everything was slightly wet or sticky which is already a big tell. There was virtually no wait to enter, given that all other places have about an hour or so wait, and the food that came out was just horrid.

The flavoring was just strange and the biggest disappointment was the lean meat skewer. When my food comes out looking like it's someone's leftovers, it kinda is revolting.

The *best" skewer we ordered was the lamb, which was palatable at best.
