Leaving a $1 tip because they asked for it, but I really want to leave a penny, because not only the server was showing resentment, the service provided was merely a busboy's job and a busboys would've done much better in any other American restaurants. No one else left a tip, which IMHO totally deserved. But I left a dollar regardless out of sympathy.

Waiting a table is much more than bringing drink and food. Somehow no Chinese restaurants get it. But they sure know how to demand tips!

I like the fried dumpling/donut sticks price, much more reasonable than others. Soy milk is very watery and has a burning smell and taste, aka not recommended. All sauces and seasonings are put aside inside the counter so you have to ask for it. I suppose this is why they demand tips, which is very lame. strongly recommended asking for soy sauce, chili, white pepper, and garlic sauce all at once.

The table at the corner was not clean and had food crumbs. She didn't clean up tht dirty table after we pick the next one. She also never asked if we need anything and was showing resentment when I asked for sauces. Can't help but think the reason they kept the sauce behind the counter is to demand tips (besides QC)....

We're all that and dim sum! Okay all buns aside, JJ's is a great, quick stop for dim sum. This location is doubly awesome because it's a two-for-one, bakery and cafe. The bakery has a ton of various breads, buns, and cakes. From green tea honey bread to scallion breads, JJ's has a diverse selection at very cheap rates. Browsing the bakery also helps pass the time when you're waiting for a table at the cafe.

Everything was delicious, especially the beef pie and the scallion pancake. The beef pie has this savory, mouthwatering juice that leaks out when you take a bite and a crunchy fried exterior. The scallion pancake is especially good with the sauce provided or the house made chili oil. And of course, the hot soy milk was a perfect match. It's made fresh and in-house.

Total came out to be $43 without tip. Such a steal considering how much food we got for four people, and we had leftovers! Anytime I'm in Rowland Heights craving dim sum, you'll...

The cashier lady with short hair is rude, their merchant system always has problem, I always came in the morning most service good, one time a few days ago I wait 5 mins and told nothing the. She said card charged system problem. Tried multiple times, this time I taped my card, she said don’t move just wait, I’ve been waiting but no any response so moved my card since while entering my card nothing appears in the machine. She didn’t let me to remove saying just wait wait I said I’ve been waiting more longer than usual. She even didn’t know it go through or not. Very rude finally she passed me the receipts. I asked everything was okay? She flipped her eyes. Say nothing. The receipts probably was a declined receipts who knows what was that. Rude lady I thought she was a new person just joining, saw her training to use the merchant system, but it was two weeks ago. Overall,twice experienced with her with rude attitude!!
